[He played AAU in vegas against tough competition, coming from Alaska means nothing 1970........Do you really believe that 1 year of AAU ball where he probably was outclassed in the 1st place made up for 4 years of Alaskan High School basketball where in all probability the lesser schooled type hoops is played in the nation...He is still playing catch up type basketball, and his hoop history exposes that fact....... Had he played 4 years with a inner state city team against that type competition, he would have been far further advanced and you as a knowledgeable fan should agree that it means something.... [/quote] How's this. Jump high, catch the ball, pass or put in the hoop. You're 7 feet and only have a few inches to make it to the rim. Alaska or Montana. Its an easy game for a good athlete.

[/quote] Not for nothing, but AAU teams play far more games in a "season" than high school teams, and it's not close.

our coaches saw him playing good in vegas, not alaska ichoops, also are you sure he only played 1 yr there?
