Yikes that was horrible. Glad to see Amayo being aggressive and trying to make a play but fouling a guy at half court up 4 with 38 seconds left ain't smart. Can AJ close out a little quicker on Snowden with 8 seconds left instead of giving him an open look in the corner for a 3? That most definitely was a foul at the end. If this was soccer the Niagara player would've gotten a straight red card. Bottom line is if Cluess stays calm down the stretch, the guys will stay calm. I'd rest IW until he's healthy. RPI wise this was the game we absolutely had to have on the road. Would stink to lose to either Canisius or Rider, but a loss to either on the road won't kill us. We did not look like a well coached team tonight. We're better than this. Any 05 is right; we are everyone's super bowl right now. That team was flying. We played like an AAU or summer league team that got together for the first time this evening. Agree completely. This was about weak depth and defense not being Niagara's Super Bowl, and any 50/50 calls (forget AJ 's play at the end) went to us.

Please don't put this on IW absence. This team is weak in many ways. There are obvious talent mismatches in our favor against all MAAC teams, yet they do not seem to lead to consistent decisive wins. That translates to two things: the MAAC tournament championship is far from a given. Very far. And (hopefully) once in, with that talent gap erased, things look pretty grim. I sense the majority of the people on this board are in the cult of Cluess. I understand that. I love being the team to beat in our conference. But they just do not look like a well-coached team. I am not going to blame one 20 year old kid this week and another one next week. I think they should be better than they are.

Despite all the ugliness we are still 6-1 and 13-5. Not so shabby!
Win one of the next two and we are in good shape.

One positive really like the game by Sed. Love this kid. 13pts couple of steals three assists no TOs.

Cluess is a 3 pt genius, a great offensive coach and excellent at finding players, he is also a bad defensive coach and a terrible out of time out coach. I think he is good at knowing who to put on the floor, tonight he did have an overall bad night. I don't think we are in the " Cluess cult" but I do think we all know he is a consistent winner and probably the best case long term situation we can have here, so I'll take him. I also think you are out of your mind if you think not having IW doesn't matter. We were 1-4 without him last year and we will have trouble winning without him this year, he is the gel of the team and makes up for The rest of the teams defensive weakness, he is also one of the best 3 point shooters in the country and with him teams don't know who to focus on. Again just have to hope he isn't that hurt.

One positive I think that game will have us much more ready and focused to play 40 minutes Sunday.

Geeze, we need to put all you guys on suicide watch. Did not play well tonight. Never do at Niagara. I'm taking the other approach and marking this down as one of the 2 more losses Guy has us penciled in for. Stole one.

On both ends of the floor - probably my favorite player. Iona is going nowhere without him. The point I was trying to make is that I think the Gaels have enough talent to beat Niagara handily with him out of the lineup. Maybe I am in the minority, but I think this team should be able to NOT get scared by Niagara (in 2015) whether or not IW is contributing.

The guy is 104 - 50 in 41/2 years, either your trolling the board, or calling people here in the "Cult of Cluess" is the dumbest post ever made on this board! Whoah! Touched the nerve of an acolyte! That record may be impressive for his résumé, but they play in a weak league. And I don't think many people scrolling around this board are looking for winning percentages and regular season championships. In the MAAC there is only one reliable path to the NCAA's: winning that tournament. What is his record there? Many of us think his skill and effort at recruiting has produced the most talented team in the MAAC over the past few years. That is a very positive thing, one that keeps me interested in the team - even to the point of debating people that trot out meaningless statistics and insults vs. defending the points being made. And I am not a Cluess-basher. In the big picture we Iona fans are lucky to have him as our coach making Iona basketball relevant. But come on - there are some troubling aspects of the team that don't seem to change. Defense. Timeouts. Players zoning-out on straightforward actions. Do you not see that? And by the way: I want to be wrong. I want to be shut up. But not by baseless insults. By our team's performance - Dominate the MAAC!
