I have noticed over the years that somehow Hargraves gets a pass and everyone remembers Grimes' misses. Hargraves missed not one but two front end of one and ones in the last minute and a half of the Virginia game and in the same exact situation as Grimes the prior year, Hargraves replicated Grimes miss to lose the NCAA game against Loyola of Chicago. These are just 2 of 7 extremly painful NCAA losses. As we get closer to NCCA play you always wonder whether this is the year we finally get our win/moment, or is it possible it will never happen? Fair point - and both of them were all time great Gaels. Always in the back of my mind when we get to the NCAA tournament. I was at these games also. Hard to get over. But that's in the past. We're due.

I'd gladly take my chances this year with Casimir on the line. The kid has ice water in his veins.

We're due. Guys--I have been at every post-season game since 1979--except NIT loss at Nebraska--blizzard. Most-as described here were close and painful-particularly when you have the chance to win--as mentioned herein + UPenn & Georgetown. Many sad trips home!

I, also, was at both games. And while the point about Tony and Rory is a valid one, I'll only say that everyone considered Rory a great FT shooter, and Tony not so great. In fact I always thought that was the weak spot in Tony's game. As they say, it's all about expectations.
