Iona needs to come out Fast and Furious and keep the tempo up. This coupled with the effect of a shorter shot clock of 30 seconds may push URI into playing outside their comfort zone creating turnovers and poor shot selection. Hopefully URI does not take an "attack the rim and pound the paint mentality" as that will put Iona into either foul trouble or allowing easy baskets. Looking forward to David Laury playing with a "take no prisoners" approach to insure he leaves with no regrets. Like the MAAC Finals my concern is the officiating. Praying that the refs are consistent and make the needed calls to limit the clutch and grab defense that has been effective against Iona. Hoping Isaiah is well enough to play today. Happy St. Patrick's Day and enjoy the game. Hopefully we will be raising our glasses this evening in celebration versus drowning our sorrows. GO GAELS!

The uncertainty about IW playing will have some effect on the line. URI is a strong team playing at home. Iona lost its last game by 10 on a neutral court. I can understand the line being where it is.
Any updates on IW?

One thing is for certain about tonight's game, URI is not going to take it lightly, so we'll need to match their intensity from the opening tip. Hurley is building a strong program one piece at a time. They have a young team and are poised for bigger things next year. They'll be treating tonight's game like an important matchup and to get them as much postseason experience as possible before they make the leap next year to the NCAAs.

I just want to see this team win a game this year where they are not favored. Don't believe we have done that this season, and I hope they have it in them.

Winnable game with everything in our favor except for home floor. Let's get it done. Plus, it's St. Patty's day! A win tonight would tie for 2nd most in program history.

I think when we beat Richmond at home, coming off that awful loss to Bryant, we were a slight dog. Not sure though. We may have been a slight dog against Maryland too. I like it when we're a manageable dog. We seem to struggle under Cluess when we're expected to win these types of post-season games.

Honestly I'm not sure. The fact that I can't recall Cluess winning a game where we were not favored says something. The fact that you and others can't recall this happening says more. Maybe the win over Georgia?

Best guesses on OOC wins as underdog:
Wake (14-15) FGCU (13-14) Georgia (12-13) Maryland (11-12) Denver (11-12) Richmond (10-11)

Thanks 05. To make this definitive, let's win a post-season game where we are not favored!
