As usual I86 is correct. Verbal commits changed him to a '19 recruit.

Verbal commits Twitter page has Murphy as a '18 recruit. Since he qualified out of HS and went to Charlotte, is it possible he skips JUCO and comes to Iona with three years of eligibility? Could be...

86 Have you heard anything about Adonis Delarosa transferring? I believe he would be a grad transfer.

86 Have you heard anything about Adonis Delarosa transferring? I believe he would be a grad transfer. He's been a bit of a project. OK, player but a bit slow. Could be interesting, though. He played well at times last year. Does shoot 78% FT's. Outstanding for a big guy.

86 Have you heard anything about Adonis Delarosa transferring? I believe he would be a grad transfer Adonis Delarosa is rehabbing from a torn ACL he got playing in the last minute of Kent State's last game of this past season. He would be a grad transfer but with standard rehab, after his surgery, he will not be able to play until January. He said he is leaving to play at a level that would help him get to a "pro" career. I am assuming he would want to rehab all next season and play a full year so finding a team willing to burn a scholarship for a year for one or maybe two years of eligibility might be tough... as he will be 24 years old this October. He entered college three years ago and you have 5 to play 4 years... he would need a waiver to have 2 years of eligibility left and his age might be an issue. He played really well last season and has worked hard to lose weight but any staff would have to weigh his past... like when he and his brother assaulting Chris Obekpa in the showers at SJU. I am not judging him and SJU was a nut house under Lavin ...Tau might have more info on that issue.

Wasn’t “Adonis” morbidly obese at SJU?

Wasn’t “Adonis” morbidly obese at SJU? Yeah... but has since lost over 100 lbs.

I86, St Louis, see where Mickey Pearson was just released from his NLI from SLU. Do you know what happened? Seemed like a good mid-majors get at SF.

I86, St Louis, see where Mickey Pearson was just released from his NLI from SLU. Do you know what happened? Seemed like a good mid-majors get at SF. No Idea... he did not give a reason. He would be a great addition to any MM program. He averaged over 27 points and 11 rebounds per game this year, scored over 2K points in his high school career. He is 6'8" and has guard skills. I can only assume he thinks he can go higher after his Kentucky team beat Indiana in the KY/IN Boys’ All-Star Game. He did not play many minutes as playing time was spread around the roster but he had nine points, three rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal. He shut down Top 5, five-star recruit and McDonald All American Romeo Langford (Indiana commit)when Pearson was in the game including a dunk attempt by Langford that Pearson swatted away. Maybe some BCS tampering took place after that game. He can shoot the three, get to the hoop, has a great motor and can defend the 2 thru 5 spots at the MM level. The kid has only begun to scratch the service of his potential. If he puts in the work while adding 25 to 30 pounds of muscle he will be scary good.

Interesting development... Former Iona recruit, 6'3" Combo Guard Javion Hamlet, is transferring out of Buffalo. Javion played his freshman season at Motlow State (JUCO) where he led the nation in APG. (8.4) as well as dropping 15.6 PPG. He redshirted his sophomore season so that he would have 3 years of eligibility remaining at the D1 level. He transferred mid-year to UB after graduating JUCO. Reported to have high-level skills but needed some maturity to put it all together. Had offers from Tennessee State, VCU, Buffalo, UT-Martin, Morgan State, Arkansas - Little Rock, North Texas, Jacksonville State, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Illinois and Cal Poly. He would be a very good get.
