Just saw on Zagsblog, that Bryant (JG) has landed Jared Rivers, a D2 transfer, who can play immediately, since his former school has dropped BB. I know it's D2 but he had 41 points against STAC. 86, what do you think?

When I see a 59 post in 2018 I know its a question, but since u were the last post I thought it was news about a recruit😁

Just saw on Zagsblog, that Bryant (JG) has landed Jared Rivers, a D2 transfer, who can play immediately, since his former school has dropped BB. I know it's D2 but he had 41 points against STAC. 86, what do you think? I was at the STAC/LIU Post game in Sparkill last season. He did not drop 41 points against STAC last season as Zags reported... he had 32 points in Sparkill and 17 against STAC at home. He did drop 41 against Post (CT). In the Sparkill game, he was on fire but was still outplayed by Reyes from STAC. STAC is a tough place to play as their gym is a shitbox that resembles an elementary school gym. It is always packed and it is loud. Rivers is a good shooter. He had a very good high school career at CTK and scored over 1,000 points his three years on varsity. He had offers from Maine, Binghamton and North Carolina A&T coming out of high school but decided on Div 2 as he wanted playing-time as a freshman. With that said, he played with Rawle Alkins (Arizona/Chicago Bulls) and Jose Alvarado (Georgia Tech) so he was never the focus of the opponent's defensive scheme while in high school. He also played with so much talent around him in AAU that it is tough to judge how good he was. He hustles, is hardnosed, can shoot the three and is an excellent FT shooter. He earned All-Met Div II 2nd Team honors last season. He is a good player who can shoot the three but I don't see him dominating play at the Div 1 level. But I think it is a piece of the puzzle for Grasso and Erickson as you can always use a good shooter who has good ball handling skills, especially late in a game that you are ahead, as he is excellent from the line.
