Put $ on the Jaspers +9.5 That's a winning ticket! Watched the entire game. Crawford and Capuano are excellent players for Manhattan. Manhattan's defense was outstanding. Both teams are better than Iona at this point of the season. Brady tried to get into it with Waterman. Brady = volatile. I would have to say Massielo and John Dunne are the two best coaches in the MAAC. that is because they both coach defense and can play half court, they also actually run plays

Not sure you can say Manhattan is better than Iona, tonight they played great but one night doesn't make a season unless it's Monday in March. As 1983 said, they play defense and are very composed when the chips are on the line. Monmouth did not have the open lay up's they had against us. I still see us as a 5/6 seed when the season ends. Hope I'm wrong.

Tactically yes. If Dunne or Masiello could recruit like Iona they would be world beaters. That's correct 1983. Both are able to scheme a game plan that forces the opposing coach to make adjustments to be successful. we don't adjust at halftime i was told by the players that they are told just keep doing what we do but better, our system and talent will win out and since we haven't changed much in 5 years in my opinion i believe them

Was at Draddy for end of the game. #43 on Monmouth is really a dirty player. Should've been kicked out of this game and nearly incited another brawl between the two teams. Glad the Jaspers won.

Thanks Coach Masiello. The fun begins! The MAAC is more wide open than everyone thought. Love it. Tough competition is good and fun. Iona is not dead. Looking forward to what lies ahead down the stretch. GO GAELS!

And not disciplined by MAAC.

sigael, the MAAC didn't discipline JW, either. I have a feeling that Monmouth's AD wanted a suspension for Brady, but Rice refused, and talked the AD out of it. The next time the League won't put themselves in that position.

Looking at box score Monmouth's outside shooting came back to earth and more turnovers than assists. Last night showed Monmouth that it is tough trying to be the top dog as everyone is coming for you. Waiting to see how St Peters handles Monmouth and Robinson.

Looking at box score Monmouth's outside shooting came back to earth and more turnovers than assists. A direct result of Manhattan's defense. Manhattan closes out on shooters very well, and they focused on putting pressure on Robinson, forcing him to give up the ball early in possessions. That helped prevent Robinson from penetrating into the lane and dishing off to open shooters. These are things that Cluess either refuses to do, or is incapable of coaching the team to do.

The next time the League won't put themselves in that position. I'm aware of that. The reason being probably because we took the correct action ourselves. The game is over and done with and I'm putting it in the rear view mirror. It's just difficult to accept that the Monmouth program which played a big part - not 100% for sure - in provoking the incidents payed no price at all for its culpability. Ergo, Brady in the Manhattan game again; Rice's asinine post game statement. Time to let go of it on my part.

I thought McGill did a better job defending Robinson than Ibn, but I guess I was wrong... he sat pretty much the entire second half.
