I know Goodman has been removed from a couple of teams, but I don't remember the reasons why. Can anyone help? He committed to Villanova early during his high school career but decommitted and went to UNLV, played as a freshman but was behind Anthony Bennett on the depth chart. He was suspended his sophomore year due to charges for conspiracy to commit burglary, a gross misdemeanor, and burglary and grand larceny, both felonies. He reportedly entered a friend's apartment, allegedly stole a pair of Nike LeBron X "Cutting Jade" sneakers, cash that was hidden inside the sneaker and about $885 worth of video games. One of the residents of the apartment claimed to have seen him leaving and made "eye" contact. The incident took place in May yet was not charged until mid August of that year. He ended of pleading guilty to reduced petty theft and trespass charges and had to pay restitution for the Nike's sneakers, $500 cash, reimburse for the video games and serve 200 hours of community service. He transferred to Indian Hills Community College, did not play for them but did practice with the squad. He then committed to Arizona State (due to knowing some of their players) after turning down offers from Florida State, Memphis and Iowa. He had to sit the first semester but then played and was known for his toughness. He averaged 11.2 ppg and 7.6 rebounds his first season at ASU. His second season he averaged 9.6 ppg and 6.4 rebounds while his playing time was reduced from 26 to 21 minutes. He then decided to transfer as a graduate student to LaSalle but withdrew from classes. So he was only suspended from one team and he left on his own... UNLV would have kept him if they could. He knows Washington from their time at Indian Hills.

Just looked at the live roster on the athletics site. It looks like we only have 9 healthy players on the roster, and one of them (Turner) may or may not be a scholly player. Am I missing something?
Cassell Crawford Severe McGill Much Svandrlik Washington Williams
Turner (non scholly?)* Casimir (not healthy)* Bessick (not healthy?)*

I was told that Turner IS on scholarship. And I'm expecting that Akeem Santil will be playing today, but am not sure. When we had Ivo and Jehyde, Akeem was NOT on scholarship (or so I was told). Now I don't know about Akeem but am pretty sure that DeAndre is on scholarship.

I'll admit that I completely forgot that Tyrell Williams, according to the BB Prospectus given out at last week's scrimmage, is a Sophomore and not a Junior. Being a Juco I guess I expected that he would have two years of eligibility. Happy with TW's play last week, but more so if he has three years at Iona. Now if Hicks is still coming (and I guess we'll have a better idea next month, if he signs) the four, five spots will be in good hands for the next few years. Coaches can concentrate on bringing in a 'scorer' in the AJ English mold.

Agreed the PF/C spots will be a strength the next couple of years, TW (JR), Hicks (FR), George (FR/SOPH) and Svandrilk (SR). I expect the staff to fill one of the remaining scholarships with a JUCO/transfer combo forward, would love to get Raynere Thorton from Gordon State. TC and staff doing a great job reloading this year and setting up the future.

Will there be enough minutes for all these guys? They are all solid players from what I have seen or read but if you want more than 10 minutes per game ... someone's going to leave. My guess would be McGill, although he seems very happy at Iona. Not sure. He's not going to start over the two transfers, I don't think. Maybe I'm underestimating his talent ... and I hope I am; seems like a great young man.

The other4 guards are not going anywhere,I guess that would leave Ricky, but remember tc has no problem going with 3 or at times 4 guards, let's see how Ricky does this year before assuming he would leave, two things I can say are we might not be done as far as another guard and that cj is having a crazy pre season and we have secured a potentially special player, loaded at that position next year already is a pretty accurate statement!!!
