Sorry to see him go. Made some very nice contributions in big spots.
Jahaad will be a very welcome addition to some D1 team.
Best of luck to him.

Will tip hat to 1970 on this one. He called this a while ago and resisted posting on the board until it was official. I would caution against accusing the staff of running him off the team, though. Seems uncharacteristic. But that is what 70 is implying and seems to be saying someone else has been asked to transfer as well or maybe graduate early and transfer?

Not a great frosh recruiting story for staff to tell parents: Only 2 four year players in 6 years: AJ & Armand, with a likely 3rd in Hines.

Nothing wrong with telling kids the truth Why should a kid that does notbing wrong with good grades lose his scholly? Was he unhappy and leaving anyway? Based on some reports that may have been the case.

Based on some reports that may have been the case. nope, even after we recruited the other gaurds he was planning on staying and competing his father as a hs coach had him believe competition is good and you need to earn everything its a shame that we lost him, he was heavily recruited by quinny but chose coaching staff over facilities and then we have him leave for one and done players i did not realize only 2 4yr players under cluess, has to be the main reason we play bad against ooc teams, can't help recruiting of frosh, we will only be able to recruit transfers and juco players which seems to be working, but sooner or later plugging holes every year will stop working especially when grasso finally gets a hc job

Yes, unorthodox for sure, but hard to argue with the success.
Agree that things will be interesting when Grasso leaves. And I am currently of the belief that Cluess is staying for as long as we want him. The question will be who Cluess brings in to recruit once Grasso leaves.

Nothing wrong with telling kids the truth Why should a kid that does notbing wrong with good grades lose his scholly? Wasn't saying I agree or disagree in how it's done. College ball is an ugly world at times. Who knows why he left, maybe he saw that he had too many guys in front of him on the depth chart or maybe it was for personal reasons? If the staff told me my minutes are most likely dwindling, at first it would hurt but in the long run...it was the best thing for me to look elsewhere so I can play.

Proctor had a bit of an up and down freshman year but that is to be expected for newbies. He had some really good moments and showed some real potential IMHO. I am sure that Proctor wanted more time and I am sure that being away from his daughter (less than 9 months old when he arrived on campus) was not easy. We do not have all the facts regarding Proctor's departure but Super is right on target when expressing how this type of thing can have impact on recruiting players directly from high school. I would prefer to see more player development and less player rentals.

I liked his game as well. It will be interesting to see what the reason(s) was.
