you guys will absolutely love this kid if pitino honors the offer and you can convince him to come ...I’ve watched every game he’s played since coming to Blackford and I’ve had the pleasure of watching many very successful players in or near central Indiana. He is unique. He should be reaching out to Coach Pitino thru the AD if he is interested as it is a pretty crazy time, especially in New Rochelle, and you don't want to slip through the cracks. good point ...have any of you die hards heard anything in regards to him honoring the prior offers ?

He is unique. Actually I thought his offensive skill set looked mid major ready my only concern is he looks a little small and can he play in your face defense that Petino demands you’re correct about the offensive skill set ...he’s an elite shooter but you’ll be most impressed with his vision /ability to create ...has great handles ...my knock on him as far as getting power 5 offers has always been his size and how it will relate on the defensive end so that’s a very valid concern. He’s athletic but doesn’t jump out of the gym so his height will be something that requires some game planning so he isn’t taken advantage of by bigger guards . The good news is he has the strongest work ethic of any player I’ve ever seen ...im pretty confident on a college weight program he will be a 185-200 pound kid and that will go along way to mask some of those height deficiencies. Blackford plays a LOT of zone so he rarely gets to showcase his defense especially since he generates 80% of their offense but if you want one game you can use as a barometer of what is POSSIBLE look up their game against south wood on Blackford sports network on YouTube if you have a few free minutes. That game Blackford played 80% man which is rare and his assignment was 6’5 colson Montgomery ...a ball handling and smooth shooting junior who quarterbacked a state finals football team and is expected to go in round one of the mlb draft as a senior. That kids an athlete and I ate a few of my words because the game plan was for luke to harass him and to my surprise it worked. It’s worth a watch and shows he’s capable of chasing both off and on ball and using leverage against bigger more athletic players

that is a really interesting comparison thanks for sending it my way ...professionally only TJ McConnell from the Pacers comes to mind as far as size and playing style with the exception tj is of course heavy enough to be able to play even though he is still taken advantage of on the defensive end. I think once he bulks up a little he could be a fantastic addition I’ve never seen someone work harder or have more natural basketball iq

Last kid I remember we had as a freshman from Indiana was the backup PG on our 1998 tournament team. His name escapes me at the moment. Would love to get a video of that game. CBS should open its library of old tournament games for on demand viewing.
