thehat, last night was not a bad loss. UA is a good team playing at home. I'd describe it as a tough loss but not a bad loss. We did play very poorly in the first half, but bounced back. I expect another loss on Tuesday, but I'll still be excited when we get to play an opponent on a neutral court, next weekend.

There is a lot of talent, but it seems like a group that may take even longer to gel than usual. Last year I believe we led the country in number of players who scored 20 or more in a game, we may see that again.

hmmm I relaxed after the army preseason loss, I relaxed after the st francis preseason loss, I am relaxed after a tough loss to Albany.... then it will be relax its only the ooc, the maac season hasn't started yet, then it will be relax wait until the tournament, then it will be relax until next year. not buyin it, bad loss call it as I see it. still relaxed though You're right, let's just forfeit the rest of the season. Sounds like a decent idea, OR how about working on fixing some glaring problems that have cropped up in preseason and right into the start of the season?

Tough loss, yes might be a better way to say it than bad loss, but if the team cant pull out that win against Albany I am going to lower my expectations. I expected 7-5 in the OOC.

Was at the game. I really thought they could've called the Much play a 4 point play at the end. Didnt get to watch a replay though.

Seems like we could have used Williams last night on the boards I don’t know what’s going on there. It seemed to me that D looks much better all around. Our glaring hole appears to be around the rim. Kensmil looks like he can fill that role in the future but probably not this year. Excited to see how he develops. A close opening season loss to a decent team on the road on a night where we did not have a hot hand...I ‘ll take it. I’m sure Cluess learned more from this than we did and I’m sure he will tune things. Go Gaels! Thoughtful and, I believe, accurate assessment. The sky's not falling and there's good reason to believe Iona will learn and grow from this loss.

Earliest in a season reaching the cliff. Stay away from sharp objects guys, please!
We’re one 3 away from celebrating a tough mid- major win on the road. Bahamas tourney will be a better indicator for me.
Recall that clock screwup may have cost us a Much three.

...Kensmil looks like he can fill that role in the future but probably not this year. Excited to see how he develops. I really liked what I saw of Kensmil the minutes he played. Very confident muscling and maneuvering himself into good position in the low box - wanting the ball. I was hoping our guards would recognize this and start feeding him more. Unfortunately, it didn't materialize as hoped. He certainly doesn't appear like a deer-in-the-headlights freshman, rather a talented big with potential to offer a welcome dimension.

Interested to see how he develops over the next few years. Lots of potential.

Agreed, think Kensmil will contribute some this year, and develop over the years into a very good MAAC player. Watched a video of him playing in a all star game and he was all over the court, diving for loose balls. Sure enough, within a couple of minutes he was diving on the court fighting for a loose ball. Tough kid.
Watched a little bit of the replay of the second half. Iona had a lineup of McGill, Lewis, Much, Edogi and Griffin at one time. That may have been one of TC'S most athletic "5" he had on the court since he has been there. Really impressive when they got out and pushed the ball. They will be very difficult to guard.

I'm curious to see how Seaforth fits in. I also feel that Kensmil will be a solid contributor. Both these players could be pivotal to our success. Perhaps freshman that play like sophomores by January. Need these 8/9 depth chart players to play like the 6th man. To me, that's the key. In regards to the athletic lineup, I agree. I would also be interested in seeing a lineup with Kensmil inserted for either Lewis/Much. In the brief one game showing, I would be interested in seeing Edogi, Griffin and Kensmil in at the same time. Three of our most talented bigs.
