One thing i have noticed early with watching some of these games is how the new 3 point line is definitely making a difference. A couple years ago when they moved it back the first time there didnt seem to be much of a difference. Its almost nba range now. So how is it affecting the games? Bigger schools winning? Bigger teams winning? How is it Definetly making a difference?

Well for 1 scoring is down across the board.. which correlates to the 3s not dropping. I didnt say it was an advantage to anyone.

Marist, down by 9 points at the half, rallied to win 58-56 at VMI. Michael Cubbage led the Red Foxes with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Niagara lost 72-64 at Drexel. James Towns led the Purple Eagles with 17 points. Rider won 81-54 at Delaware State. Frederick Scott's 13 points led five Broncs who scored in double figures. Rider outrebounded Delaware State 50-29. Siena lost 81-63 at #19 Xavier. Elijah Burns led the Saints with 19 points and Jalen Pickett tallied 18. UConn beat Sacred Heart at home 89-67. Josh Carlton's 18 points led five Huskies who scored in double figures. The MAAC had 4 road games(what else is new) and went 2-2. Not terrible. All teams covered. Marist looked better than last year. Can't wait to hear Siena fans bragging about covering (-19). Burns off to a good start for them.

I saw the end of the Marist game, and have to give credit to the Red Foxes for their second half comeback. Cubbage was big down the stretch. I know nothing about him, except that he's a junior, so I'm guessing that he's a JUCO.
Still another non losing night for the MAAC.

Arizona State was missing their two frontcourt guys. Watched the game. Hard to say what you can take away. Colorado exploited the interior well with the missing ASU guys. Oddly, I would say the smaller lineup may be the way to go against Colorado. Tyler Bey and Evan Battey are a handful. Big and quick with great moves around the basket. it's awhile before we play them, but my guess is we will want to bring our track shoes!

Ya know, this is kind of a slap at the MAAC also. I agree. He's basically talking down on the conference with that comment and calling us a weaker conference than the A10. I just lost some respect for Van Gundy lol
