Randy D maybe one of the last guys I would have expected to make that basket. They certainly didn't play their A game and still come out with a"W". Sign of a good team.

Great gutsy hard fought comeback win! Randy D of all people with the last second shot, but not a buzzer beater. I am very picky with my buzzer beaters. Has to be no time left and if you miss you lose, also no shot can be taken by the other team afterwards. But it was one of the few last second wins Iona has had in recent memory. Love the small lineup and that Trinity fields contributed. This is a huge road win against a good team that will be in the tourney.

Joebird, I told the guys in the Chat Room that this might not qualify based on your specifications.

The Gaels showed a lot of guts and poise in the win tonight. When Glover picked up his 2nd and 3rd foul on the technical, all I could think about was Big Jeff picking up his 3rd in the first half against Georgetown.
The defense was pretty porous in the first half, but towrd the end of the second half especially in crunch time, and in OT, the Gaels came through and clearly had Denver rattled.
I'm mighty proud of these guys.
Go Gaels!!!

Randy's shot was so huge it's screwing with Proboards' entire network!

Outstanding effort coming back like that. Cluess going small really gave Denver all kinds of fits and their young players started to really get rattled and unravel a bit.
JMO, but I think we waited too long to start our attack when winding down the shot clock on our final possession in regulation and one other late in OT.
This Iona team is a very tough team and they really showed it tonight. Denver will definitely be a force to be reckoned with as well and should be fun to watch in New Rochelle next year.
I thought that the announcers did a very nice job on FCS and were very complimentary of the Iona Gaels even when they were down big. Only bad mistake was saying Ionya! LOL!
Congrats to the coaches & the players. Guys, savor the "W" and then get ready for the next battle. One game at a time.

RPIForecast has us at 25 now. RealTimeRPI isn't so real-time--and I'm paying for that garbage.

Got home late and just finished watching the replay. Awesome! As big a tough it out win as I can remember. Great coaching, good poise. So many things were going wrong that it just didn't seem like our night. Very proud to be a Gael fan.
