I don't think there is an official spread for this game. Sagarin has us as a 10 pt. favorite at their place; 14 pts on a neutral floor. Payback game for last year, I hope. ;D

What was the score last year? Any scouting report on vermont this year? Think we lost by three or four at home with a hang over after the Syracuse game. I don't know anything about them this year.

The Voelkerster was hurt a few games back and though he's been playing, he hasn't been playing well. They've been off for a while. The two kids from Iona Prep start, and they have a kid, I believe his name is McGlade has been good. Don't believe he was on the team last year. Bald (or something like that) is a starter and he was on the team last year. They seem to play in the sixties, much like Richmond. Needless to say I haven't seen them play.

They're not as good as last year, and not only are we better, we remember last year. We should cruise.

They lost to St Louis and Qunny recently. I think they stand about 4-6, 4-7 range. For some reason Voekel not logging as many minutes as usual. 12-13 point favorite about right. Seems like a down year for the Catamounts, but they always play us tough.

Here's the skinny on Vermont.
They are the "Catamounts" which, not surprisingly, is some sort of mountain cat. Vermont is a mountainous state, known world-wide for its maple syrup. Much like the U. of Denver, Vermont's marquee sport is ice hockey. The state borders a foreign country, which makes it dubious.
They are currently 5-5, with a wins over MAAC members Marist and Siena. They've lost four straight with the last game a loss to Quinnipiac.
They're coached by John Becker, who took over for Mike Lonergan when Lonergan left in the offseason for G.W.
Two Iona Prep grads, Brian Voelkel and Sandro Carrissimo (sic?) play for Vermont.
Last year they had a tall guy with a ridiculous moustache and they displayed ridiculous interior passing. They also had a 3 ft tall PG who, for some reason, we refused to guard. I think he had 25 pts.
They are on a four game losing streak.

Joey Accaoui was his name, although the other guard(local kid)Sandro Carissimo played well as well. Not sure why some other local mid major teams werent all over him or maybe they were? Apfeld and Bald are still there, dont think Ron Jeremy lookalike is. Here is there stats for this year uvmathletics.com/custompages/MensBasketball/2011-12/teamcume.htm
