Not comfortbale with this board yet. I was trying to reply to ICHoops. I thought you were a big fan of Keon's? I think your wrong about his rebounding, he seemed to me to be a very good rebounder. In limited minutes he got a lot of boards. As for Epatrick, I loved Williams but not sure he was as good of a player as Estick, even if he was more disciplined. Finally I always doubted all those who posted no one was leaving, now(if this iss true) we have two leaving which I would say is normal with a change of coach. Can we say 5 guard offense ;D! Im starting to think a guard will be leaving, I hope thats not the case

Tau,
I hope you're wrong. I think McGill is the only guard I'd vote off the island. All the rest are extremely valuable.
Why the sudden evacuation?
And where the hell is soup getting all the info? lol

McGill is one of the guys that we can't afford to lose. TC, at Mo's, spoke highly of him, and if he does leave, it won't be because he was pushed. He is a wing, but due to our lack of FC depth, can play the four. He's not a guard.

Armand would more than make up fo the loss of Trinity (who is the likely departee). I think McGiil showed a lot of potential and has more size at the wing than the others.

Just catching up after a weekend away from the computer.
Disappointed that Keon is leaving (assuming it's true). I too agree would not be shocked to see a guard vacate, but even if that doesn't happen, the door is still open for a true 4-5 banger type as well as Jayon James. Let's see what develops.

Very sorry to see this kid go.
Overcame a career threatening achilles injury and more than made the most of the limited minutes he was given. Really thought he'd be a major contributer the next two years.
Guess he isn't part of the plan or doesn't feel that he will be.
Whatever the case, I hope he goes somewhere and has great success both off and on the court.
Best of luck to Keon, he'll be missed.

You're abosolutely right, CJB. Keon's a great kid who can be a major contributor. I'll miss him.

Interesting how many here feel we're weak up front. I don't. I think we'll be better so long as Alejo is healthy. Mike and Chris were freshman last year! We'll see another three years of improvement from them. Mike is a good athlete. He'll finish around the rim much better this year. The Serb kid has played with major talent. He'll be a great addition. I've never been a huge Pelch guy but IC59 likes him and he's a very good judge of talent.
I'm sure Keon is a great kid but I do think we'll find another contributor.

Are any of these departures confirmed?

ichoops,
I don't know how you could like the front court right now. It is a "hope" that these guys improve. I hope so too, but it was the weakest part of the squad and we are probably losing part of that hope with Keon's potential departure.

"I do think we will find another contributor"..........
At his late period, and the very diminished pool left, we better know, and have them ready to sign by now.....With the recent rash of speculations from postings, it is possible that we will have 3 openings left...Staff seems to be confident that they can fill these spots with good recruits....I hope so....To fill them with the lesser recruits left can hurt the team for several years, and IMO it might be better to go with a 12 man squad, and save one for the following year........Play is any way you want, but we are unless corrected, in trouble with our thin front court....As it it is set up now, it will wear down during the season, and have problems particularly with OOC teams......
I am concerned...... but confident that staff has already addressed need, and a announcement very shortly will alleviate those concerns...
Go Gaels!!!!!!
