Not a big stretch, but I'll guess...  No. Wow! I guess that flight IS headed to Houston today to sample the rice they serve there. Kind of glad too... his espn rating is south of the two recruits we lost. Hope the rumored mystery recruits espn rating north of what we lost. |

Guy and others....I have been making a walking trip each day down past the Auxiliary Gym...There had been no scrimmage as it is always fillled with tables and chairs from seminars that go on this time of the year...May have to wait for another week until they clear up..Have no idea where they might be scrimmaging if at all...I do however meet and have a conversation with some of the players..They are always cordial, but it is my opinion after these talks that that they know far less then the average poster on this board....I have never asked or received any "inside" info from any of them...It is always a 'How you doing" type..Over the years I have picked up some info, but never from a player, and that is what it should be.
Having said that.............I DON"T know who the possible new "Big" is, but would like to extend my "Calculated" guess............Jimmy Patsos is on short legs at Loyola..It is still up in the air if he will become a Asst. Coach under his long time friend Garry Williams at Maryland...There is also a new A/D at Loyola and it has been rumored that he might be looking for change..I have heard fairly recently that this player had given his intent to attend Loyola, but may not have yet to officialy sign..Is it possible that our long mysterious wait is due to waiting for his official release.
David Samuels from down the road Blessed Sacrament where are you.....A true 6-8 and growing power forward/ center who would fill our remaining need and the stands....
Just the Oldtimer shooting off his mouth,,,So fire away...
Back to playing golf again, (played yesterday at Saxon Woods) so I may have something else to occupy my mind and release it from these wild basketball thoughts...

If he is, right now I have no interest right now in 2011 recruits even if they play like Lebron.
We're in a period of transition and the key is taking a step forward with our roster in the 2010 season.
Am I missing something?

He is an absolutely fantastic player. With the talent we already have, I can almost guaranty a strong NCAA run if this young man joins the Gaels. |

I'm with Old coach, someone said with Arod this new big would give us a great chance at an NCAA run but Harkless would never play with Arod This has to be someone else

I've also heard the same rumor. The one about "the big" is great news. I won't ruin it either especially b/c it's not finalized yet, but if we get him, along with A-Rod upfront. I think it will put us a step ahead of Fairfield for number one next year. Here's a litte hint: he's a real program "Transformer." ;D Now the player I heard was leaving, I was not as happy about  . My wish is that he stays, and that's all I'll say about that. Repeat: if you'd like to say his name, you are welcome to. I cannot, because I was asked not to. Unless you were as well? Maybe we have the same source, LOL. As an aside, I googled "transformer" and the name of the recruit and came up with no matches. So I wonder if we're actually talking about 2 different players? Google "Optimus Prime" and the recruit's name. |
