Manhattan College fans starting to lament the fact they have no commits for 2015 on board. Wonder if the Coach Masiello issue is bearing poison fruit. Gotta believe a number of potential recruits have been cautious as a result. Will be interesting to watch over time. With how closely the athletes are scrutinized I am glad that maybe coaching staff's are getting the same treatment. Big reason why I am glad Iona has Coach Cluess and staff. No drama/no trouble so far.

No drama/no trouble so far. FWIW, Manhattan added quite a bit of size today picking up 2 commitments. Cardinal Hayes 6'10'' C/F AK Ojo and Putnam Science 6'8'' F Vincent Eze. Half their team will be taller than 6'8'' next year, interesting way of recruiting in a league usually dominated by guards and wings. Also in the final 3, along with Seton Hall and Hofstra for PG Desurie Buie. I would imagine TC and staff will have to add at least 1 "big" with one of the 2 remaining scholarships. Would like to see Iona land one of the Mt. Zion kids recently offered

Wow, well over half the team. might be the tallest team ever in the MAAC, though not sure if that wins the league. I guess they feel Buie is going to commit to them.

It appears that Seton Hall pulled out of the race to get Buie. I wonder if they did that because they discovered something or because Davis already had Buie locked up but had the kid was going through the motions to get Davis and Manhattan some publicity... winning a recruiting battle against the other programs... like they did with Lawrence.

Interesting. forgot where I read it but supposedly some of the bigger programs backed off because he did not have a great summer in AAU. But of course like you said it could be them having sour grapes and pulling out because they knew they were off his list. Is he a game changer in the MAAC?

He is a very good player but needs to get a lot stronger. He has good body control and can score but at long range he tends to start his shooting motion at his stomach and sometimes shoots from his right shoulder....a habit you usually see in 6th graders. I think he would be a very good MAAC PG but I do not see him as being dominant. .

Zack Boczar was at Maroon Madness. He is a 5'10" PG from Xaverian and IMG Academy. Reported to be a player with a good handle, high hoops IQ and is a good passer. Was at some of the Providence elite camps. That is all I have on him at this point.

Thanks for the update I86. Have to admit I am surprised the staff is still recruiting a 5'10'' PG. I would think with only 2 scholarships remaining for the '15 class, a big and a good shooting wing would be the priorities.

Maybe they expect him to go JUCO and they are laying the groundwork for two years down the road? I agree... We need a wing and a big.

I86, just wondering have you seen any reports of any bigs transferring from their programs recently. Only name I have heard, that sounded familiar, was Gabe Levin who has just transferred to Long Beach St.

Maybe the player has not announced they are leaving yet.
