I make the motion to end all discussion on this topic. With passage of the motion all further discussion on this topic to be tabled until the end of the season. Do I have a second? Seconded.

Lets not worry too much about this at this point. If Seton Hall or SJU dump their coaches then I think Cluess is gone. If not, I do not see Cluess leaving Iona anytime soon and the reasoning behind that has nothing to do with loyalty or the chicken wings at the Beechmont. If Cluess does not get the tap on the shoulder from SJU or SHU then we will most likely have Grasso leave which could have a huge impact on the program. Then again, maybe Erickson will land a couple of studs and be Grasso's replacement as the assistant head coach and top recruiter. Either way it is in God's hands and we just have to hope that whatever happens turns out to be the best decisions for those involved. Willard is safe at Seton Hall; he could go winless the rest of the year and he'll be back for his big recruiting class next year; then it will be put up or shut up time. Lavin is different story. I respect you guys not wanting to discuss this topic but it is the fabric of Iona basketbal!

I think SJU could dump Lavin and Cluess would be the logical choice for filling that position. If that happens we promote Grasso and make Erickson the top recruiter.
I would be more worried if we lose Grasso this year and then the SJU or SHU jobs open up two years from now. That would suck but we will deal with it. The Iona Admin knows how important the hoops program is to the school and they will attract a young hot coach. The school and program are in good hands.

Don't believe the real salary numbers were ever released, not sure how anyone would know. I know. Where does it rank on the MAAC coaching pay scale? I damn sure hope it is in the top 3, if not the top 1. Tough to compete with Quinny and Siena on the coaching salary scale, but would be a shame if we're below anyone else.
