A lot depends on whether Tavon learns to run a half court offense. IMO, it's a given that his athleticism will be at 100% at some point during the season. Learning the PG is more problematic. I hope he knows that WE ARE ALL ROOTING FOR HIM.

A healthy Tavon will have a major impact in MAAC play and in the tournament in March! I also agree but it will be important for TC & staff to slowly work him in and share some of those back-up guard minutes with Gomez and Ellis. These 3 guys should be able to battle for those 7th man minutes. Starters seem set and even though I'm as frustrated as most when Poole decides to get 3 point happy, his boards are key to support DL and he wlill be the teams 6th man. Sledge did a a great job in the MAAC tourney last year and he showed that he was not afraid of the stage in the OSU game.

Like I posted earlier, Sledge started at PG and played an important role in the 5 game winning streak that led us to the dance last year. I know must of us are intrigued of starting a 6'4'' PG who can score, myself included, but in my opinion in a perfect world this team would be better if Sledge gets healthy again and both Sledge and Gomez can handle the PG position. My point is that would let English start at the SF position and move Bowman to a very important 6th man role and lengthen our rotation and bench strength. As of now our bench provides zero scoring and is basically only Poole and Robinson/Hines. With Bowman coming off the bench he can provide a spark with scoring, defense and rebounding.

Great post Sharkey! Having Bowman as our 6th man and a deeper bench would be huge.

OT, you were wondering, which was worse, the sea sickness or the battle that was ahead? Well sea sickness never bothered me, but I know it makes some "sick', but from what I've heard few people die as a result of it.[/quote] IC59..........On one particularly rough 30 day zig zaging trip I dropped to 109 lbs. from my normal 140 lbs...Hard to describe...My heart fibrillation problem of a couple of years ago caused same symptoms but not as severe..............In landing training exercises I begged a member of the defending force to make me a quick casualty so I could rest and recover.... The only redeeming factor that came out of it, a medic once told me ''The smarter one is, the more severe the sea sickness''...

Sledge.........I have suspicion that you visit our board...If so...I'll be cheering for you....................

I wouldn't mind both Sledge and AJ out there and let IW come off the bench. He's been looking a little lost of late and may benefit from coming in off the bench. At this point, it isn't like we'd be losing much in the rebounding department.
