Let's avoid the letdown after last night's exciting win. Monmouth has proven they can beat the top tier teams in this conference, especially on their home floor. Let's not take them for granted.
Go Gaels!!!

Agreed. I think we got a break with the super bowl Sunday. Gives the guys an extra day of rest by playing Monday night instead of Sunday afternoon, especially after the late Friday night start and 5 players playing so many minutes. Last night may not have been Bowman's night but I expect him to bounce back nice and fresh with a big game Monday night. Expect Gomez and Sledge (if healthy) to see some minutes.

I looked on the ICGaels.com page and it only gives a "listen" option. Maybe Monmouth has the same video provider that IC has and SID will work his magic. If anyone can make it happen, it's SID.
Go Gaels!!!

It appears like a 2-time NCAA team that's in contention for a 3rd trip is traveling to play an overmatched program at the bottom of the standings, and how dare anyone suggest this even be competitive.

This is a trickier game than it appears. I agree with Guy, this may be a tougher game than you might think. Monmouth is a scrappy team with good size and they tend to play well at home. Back in an earlier post in another thread, I wrote "Monmouth is an interesting team, with 8 freshmen on the squad, including two 6'10" centers and former Archbishop Stepinac point guard Josh James. Monmouth has 7 or 8 come from behind wins so far this season ... and this group will only get better as they gain more experience playing together. They could become a force to reckon with in the MAAC in the coming years ahead, and possibly cause problems for a favored opponent in this year's MAAC tournament." The Gaels need to bring their "A" game down to Monmouth; they are no pushover, as Canisius found out in Buffalo back on January 19th.

I'm hoping that Monmouth will be throwing up bricks, and they'll be stone cold. Or am I'm just taking them for granite?
