chels, that link is crazy, each year I think we have a shot at an at large but his year no chance, that link gives us a 13% chance 05, it is fair to compare to that team, because the expectations and the talent aren't much different, were we even picked to win that year?, but that team actually won some of the better OOC games and DID blow through the MAAC, we didn't have 3 of the best 5 kids then

Must have short term memory. The at-large year we were getting national headlines and came into the season with heavy expectations. Remember coaches calling us a 5 seed on paper, and also remember losing several games that year that we shouldn't have lost, as well as a many where we blew leads that we should have never given up. Something that this year's team has yet to do. In fact had it not been for the at-large selection, which most didn't expect us to get, I think some on the board would have called that season a bit of a disappointment compared to what the expectations were at the beginning of the year.
05, please tell me which games that year we shouldn't have lost and all the regular season big leads that were blown. purdue, neither, Marshall lost by 20 no big lead lost, Hofstra we stunk the whole game it was awful, that leaves 3 games were they all big blown leads? who here didn't pick us for first and then others were mad we didn't have 3 players on the first team, that is as high as our expectations can be at this level, or so I have been told by many people we should strive to be the best in the maac and everything else is a bonus. and by the way this years MAAC is awful compared to then, we are the only team in the top 170

I agree we have no shot at an at-large.
The greatest poster in the history of the MAAC as determined by THREE separate polls.

Hofstra, Siena and Fairfield were games we shouldn't have lost IMO.
Manhattan, Siena, and gulp, BYU, were all games where we blew sizable leads.
You ask me if this year's team stacks up to that team, and relative to expectations coming into the season and talent on the roster, I think it does so far.

I don't either. Don't think a 12 seed either. Just wanted to give you an analytics view of your 12 seed, 50 RPI scenario.

Way too early to tell!
Most here thought there was no chance of an at large previously. Let's go 17-3 in the league and see.
By the way--nice workmanlike league win at home--covers spread--may qualify for blowout for those who only go by the #s.

Kind of like the opposite of blowing a big lead, playing tight for the first 25 mins, and open it up the last 15 mins! Either way still only counts as 1 win
AJ with one of the best offensive shooting halves I have ever seen at Iona, he was dominant and ended up with 10 assists as well ( most in the first half). Very lazy start and disappointing crowd but great effort to end up pulling away, the scary part is Iona had to shoot so well to pull away, an off night and that could have been a loss. I would imagine after tonight's amazingly accurate 3 point shooting night we will be first in the country in 3 point fg %.

Students returning to campus from the break so attendance should improve.
