Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We found today that her cancer treatment was going to be stopped because it was not going to be productive any more after 3+ years. After watching my move suffer and whither away from cancer (when I was just 15), I take solace that she is going to rest in peace not knowing that. My guess is her oncologist was probably going to tell her at her next treatment - which was the day after her initial brain bleed/injury.

I want to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers and thoughts of inspiration. Roe passed away peacefully this afternoon at about 5:10pm. There were 14 of us by her bedside laughing, crying and telling all kinds of stories.
Just like she was during her entire life, Roe was a fighter until the end. She held on for about four hours before she stopped fighting the good fight.

tootie, I am sorry for your loss. I have said a prayer for the repose of Roe's soul, and that The Good Lord give you and your family comfort during this time.
If our faith is indeed fact, we are on this earth for just a blip on the radar but will get to spend eternity with our God and our loved ones. I believe that Roe is in Heaven and would not come back for anything. I believe that you will be reunited one day.
God Bless.

Roe always used to joke that she would see everyone in hell and that she would be the one on the right with the margaritas. I always told her to make mine a pina colada :-)
Just got back making all of the arrangements and I managed to hold up without too many problems. The wake tomorrow and the funeral on Tuesday are different stories.
I lost my Mom at 15 and I was a rock through the two plus days of the wake and right up to near the end of the funeral. As we were leaving the Church I finally broke down. I would expect a repeat this time as well.

I debated whether or not to post this, but since I received so much comfort during my time of trouble I decided to post this so that everyone could get know Roe a little better. Thank you! After 17 months away from blogging, I have posted a new edition of "Ranger Ramblings". It is not your ordinary posting because it is dedicated to my wife Roe who passed away on May 20, 2016. The blog offers a look at Roe and her relationship with her favorite team - the New York Rangers. www.rangerramblings.com/2016/11/19/requiem-for-a-fallen-rangers-fan/
