That's the Gonzaga effect Im thinking it's more reasonable to be like VCU and Wichita st, around top 50 every year with a special year in the top 25 Wichita St now up to 8 players transferring out. Anybody in that group that RP has expressed interest in?

We are just as good a program as Vermont I don't think so. I don't think people realize how good Vermont has been . One thing, and it's a big thing, in Iona's favor is that we had to win the MAAC tourney on a neutral court, or when we played Siena, on their court. I'm sure Vermont won some of their tournaments on their home court.

I'm sure Vermont won some of their tournaments on their home court. Doesn't seem to have a huge influence, during this period Vermont has won 9/18 regular season America east titles and 7/17 (no tourney this year) AE's Tourneys. Kind of similar percentages. Iona's biggest achievement has been reaching the NCAA's. For a 1 bid league, What we have achieved in the MAAC tournament and the at large has been amazing. To put it another way Vermont's 9 regular season titles and 7 Ncaa appearances. Iona 4 regular season titles and 7 Ncaa appearances.

Kenpom rankings for Iona and Vermont the past decade:
2010: Vermont 136, Iona 110 2011: Vermont 128, Iona 66 2012: Vermont 118, Iona 54 2013: Vermont 135, Iona 89 2014: Vermont 75, Iona 76 2015: Vermont 123, Iona 100 2016: Vermont 151, Iona 104 2017: Vermont 63, Iona 117 2018: Vermont 76, Iona 137 2019: Vermont 76, Iona 198 2020: Vermont 76, Iona 221
So, on average, we were a little better, but Vermont did more with their opportunities, with some nice OOC wins as well as of course a couple wins in the NCAAs. So, all told, the COUNTRY would say they've done more because those wins carry more weight than a good record or computer ranking, but in reality it's pretty close overall.
