Assuming that Guy receives info via "Tobin Time", and I'm wondering if he could include that info in the Podcast's Iona Iotas section? Tobin time won't be that often, but yes, if Tobin breaks news there, certainly it can and does make its way to the podcast eventually. |

Thanks, boys. I mean, if Iona were just about any other school in the MAAC, they wouldn't be worthy of a podcast. I do get that. Also should not that we actually dip during most seasons--the offseason ones draw more, always have, and always will. So, another thought is to change how I do things in season, as the recap/preview formula doesn't sem to be interesting enough. Following up on this, I've been out of town all week on our company retreat (read: boozing), so I've had time to reflect as we approach our usual pod drop day, Monday--and considering that I'm missing today's game as well. I've decided to shift to every other week episodes for the rest of the regular season, with fewer specific game recaps/previews and more state of the Gaels/MAAC takeaways. I will still have appropriate Iona/MAAC guests on each episode. And yes I59, there will still be Iotas as appropriate. Will assess how to navigate offseason at that time. A rough tradeoff: I think it's good that the pod features recruiting info, but because of that Iona cannot promote the episodes on social media the way they do the Journal News or DalyDose. Hard to say how much that has hurt the podcast for sure, but Iona MBB twitter has 13K followers and I have 3K LOL. Granted a lot of that is media and other entities, but you get the idea. I mean, even some regulars out here aren't listening. And that's not a complaint, just an observation. Enough rambling, as I have to go catch a flight home. I'll be watching on ESPN+ during the flight, if their wifi is good enough. Go Gaels! |
