It was a record shattering performance for the Lady Gaels. They hit 15 three's in a row breaking NC State's 13 consecutive three's. And their 16-18 3pt shooting (88.9) beat Tennessee's existing record (more than 12 shots made). Just an unbelievable shooting performance. Congrats Ladies. Those are crazy numbers at any level! Even at a practice I don’t think you ever see 15 in a row! This will likely get some media attention, espn will probably show. |

My hope is that at the next Men's home game (half time) vs. Quinnipiac that we show the 15 in a row shots on the Big Screen and introduce the players who made them.

Can't say that I'm surprised but went into the official MAAC BB site looking for some info on the Iona Women's performance and came away empty. Disappointing.

Watched the women for the 1st time today, for the last quarter. They are fun to watch. The young lady Kate Mager? Is an incredible shooter.
Announcer said she shot 97% from the FT line when she was at Merrimack.
Maybe we can get her the Bobby Valentine fake stash and sneak her into men's games

Watched the second half. Camilion and Major are the real deal. Our center rebounds everything and #5 is a gritty, scrappy player with a non stop motor. Props to the coach for landing Major as a transfer from Merrimack.
At times, I thought the refs came straight from Foot Locker.
The team is fun to watch.
