Yes. I have no sources, but yes That’s unfortunate. Thanks! There's been no reporting by anyone who would know whether there is a deal or no deal. I'm sure Iona has been talking to the A-10 over the past few years, and possibly other leagues, like just about every school in D-1 is doing.

Interesting that the A10 will be a 1 bid conference this year. Who needs who here more?

Marist trying to get into Patriot league. They think it is a better match, especially, since they added their Med School. Don’t have any idea how far they have gotten. I think an A 10 move would be exciting. Not always a one bid conference

I think an A 10 move would be exciting. Not always a one bid conference There are 15 schools and about 12 are better than every MAAC school. So does it really make sense to join to maybe get a second bid when it is a million times harder to get to the dance

I was around when the MAAC was formed and hope we stay in the MAAC while I'm alive. I can understand those who want to join the A10, but I'll ask this question and I don't have the answer. Go back 10 or 15 years and tell me how many NCAA's was Iona in and how many was each A10 school in?

Rumors of umass leaving a10 for American. Could open a spot or 2. Hope Siena makes the mistake and plunges in to the A-10 I don’t think it would be as big of an uphill battle as some may think. A move up in conference affiliation also opens more doors. Recruits that don’t give the 28th ranked MAAC the time of day would take more notice… especially when a guy like Pitino knocks on their door. The way I see it, Pitino already has an Iona/MAAC team that would likely be a top tier A10 team if it were to be transplanted into the A10 right now. Imagine what he might have with the wider selection of talent that would assuredly become available to him as a higher conference member. I know that much more than mens basketball needs to be considered for such a move, but from that singular perspective, I don’t see the program being totally outclassed from a competitive standpoint.

I agree, need to think big. I will argue if we were in the A10 the past decade we may have a couple less bids but I think we would have won a couple of ncaa games. Cluess and or Pitino would have had some of the bigger and more athletic guys on the roster that was needed to get a better seed and win a game.

Does ANYONE have the answer to how many NCAA's have the A10 schools been in over the past 10-15 years. I'll start with Fordham (0).
