Looks like Seattle tomorrow. Utah State won, 84-56. Impressive win by the Aggies.
The great Elgin Baylor was a Redhawk, and led Seattle all the way to the 1958 NCAA title game, where it was knocked off by Kentucky's Fiddlin' Five. Here's hoping we don't fiddle around defensively tomorrow and take care of business.

How long before Guy tells everyone to get off the Ledge? How about now? Should mention that I picked us to lose this game. Looks like my forecast is worthy of more praise than was given at the time. Guy, are you still undefeated in your picks? I'm impressed either way. I was off on this one by about 23 points. Going to give the game prediction thing a break on my end, lol. |

So, we're still technically exceeding my expectations, which is why I'm not on the ledge ready to off myself like some of these folks. |

But I picked the over, and feel that Iona would have covered if BJL had not gotten hurt. And if RP thought it was a good idea to give QS and RW so much PT. Also, since you think/thought that Iona will lose five League games, jumping might be good advice. You know, jump now and avoid the March rush.  |

I have long taken the position that I will not criticize a student-athlete's performance on this message board. They are not pros. Further, while I think it is ok to criticize a coaches' decisions, I do not think that I am qualified to criticize a Hall of Fame coach. I am disappointed in our loss today, but I do not think my disappointment is anywhere close to the disappointment the players and coaches feel. I'm convinced that this team will bounce back and will have a successful season. It's been a tough day for the Gaels, our ICN, and our fearless leader, Don Guy. He had to drop the ban hammer on a member today. I do not think he should have to deal with any whining on this site right now. So, to all those out on the ledge, I will share with you some advice from another Don:  Go Gaels!!! |

I actually amended the MAAC loss total to 4 after the Manhattan stuff right before the season tipped.
Four still sounds right to me. The team is very shaky and uneven when not at Hynes.

I said it after the New Mexico game that next years team has the opportunity to be special. If they retain the current roster and add a couple vets, they will be very very good. They years team is good but still a lot of newer guys playing prominent roles and meshing.

Bottom line: a loss to a bigger-conf team on a neutral floor like 4000 miles from home is not as devastating as you guys are making it out to be. Do you all think Iowa's season's over after being a 30-point fav at HOME and losing?

Also--we're basing the "SMU horrible" idea on the NET, which we know is a bit wacky. In KenPom, SMU has a better ranking than everyone in the MAAC except Iona and Quinny (by 1 spot).

Weiss 25 minutes Shema 8 minutes Insanity! Don't worry , people keep saying it will change, obviously we can't keep playing 4 on 5 and win Exactly! Weiss made one uncontested 3 and gobbled up 25 minutes. I like him but he’s a situational sub who should be inserted to spell a fatigued player or to sub when multiple guards are in foul trouble. More like 4-6 minutes, not 25. |
