Don't know what to make of this. This video was uploaded a couple of hours ago. While we have seen the video, the script is new, at least to me. Coach P plays a very prominent role in this commercial.

It's a business, in business loyalty is extremely important but there are many factors that impact staying or going...
I'd like to think that RP is happy and fulfilled in the final quarter of his life at Iona. Truth is, if he feels unfulfilled, incomplete, he'll leave and seek that feeling elsewhere (challenge, money, fame, credit, honor, legacy...).
After the clock runs out, he's been good for the program and with luck 🍀 he will continue to lead our team.
Fight the good fight Rick and thanks for your commitment to the Gaels! (however long it may be?)

Coach Pitino's actions and statements about Iona, the school on a' whole, have been extremely positive for the most part as shown by the promotional video. His inaction -- not completely addressing rumors of his departure -- is puzzling. My guess is he hasn't made a decision on his future.

Hard to read anything into this. |

I wouldn't read too much into it. Enough of the accolades for Coach Pitino. If he leaves, he will not be leaving Iona that much better than how he found it (although he will tell you differently). No loyalty to an already successful program who offered him a chance when NO ONE was willing to do so.
