Lots of coaching errors in this one, particularly not having the best ft shooter on the floor for last play. Pitino crapping on refs: "it was highly unethical" that the refs went to the monitor before Zuby Ejiofor's FTs with 4.5 seconds left. Scott Drew asked the refs for a review because he thought Ejiofor elbowed a Baylor player. Pitino said it iced him. |

He also had Ejiofor on the bench when Omier bullied Prey for an offensive board and 3pt play. Wait, there's more...sat Smith for extended period when lead was shrinking. He had 2 players on the FT line, leaving the entire court a clear path for Roach. This was his Rider moment BTW, The clock did start a split second late on the 2nd miss FT, BUT the game winner was taken with 0.8 on the clock, so likely still would have been on time. BTW, The clock didn't stop on time when Ejiofor was fouled before he gagged...screw Pitino and his crying ass |

After the Rider loss, Pitino posted a video of the last Rider basket. He had a timer which showed the player was in the paint for at least six seconds before shooting. He also complained that the player traveled 2x. I reposted the video which included his comments about the play and the refs. Within an hour, I heard from the athletic office and was asked to remove the post.

Was a hell of a college hoops game none the less. Too many fouls at the end of regulation ruined the flow of the game a bit though. Pitino is a scum bag but a great coach and I've softened my stance on him a little as time has passed. I've grown to appreciate his Iona teams and miss the quality of play they played with. Hopefully Tobin can eventually get us back to that.
