After the Rider loss, Pitino posted a video of the last Rider basket. He had a timer which showed the player was in the paint for at least six seconds before shooting. He also complained that the player traveled 2x. I reposted the video which included his comments about the play and the refs. Within an hour, I heard from the athletic office and was asked to remove the post. And then you were removed from the Pitino insider newsletter. This is what it is like to be under a tyrant. |

Hopefully they lose tonight and drop out of the top 25. I will be watching! I think they’re out either way. They were only 22 to begin with. Lost to 13th ranked team by 1 point, double overtime. Need to lose tonight to get knocked out for sure. |

I think that the Pitino name adds two/three spots to SJU's ranking. JMO.

Pitino was a total ass, but he had brought incredible talent to Iona. Crazy to think that we had a team with WCJ, NJJ and the rest at the same time. I think this was the most talented Iona team in the past 40 years.

I'll always remember how gracious and complimentary he was of Iona (and especially Tim Cluess) when he arrived, then did a 180 after year 2 making that BOD change comment. He knew what he signed up for and also knew all along his arrogance coaching at the MAAC level would never be long-term. The conman executed his plan perfectly. |
