Latest roster (as of now): Jenkins Brookshire Ayo Shema Sunday Jefferson Florence Would be absolutely thrilled to keep those first 5. With the addition of some top FDU guys and new recruits, that would still have top of the MAAC potential. One can hope! |

It was a given. Have to start over! Easy to tear down but also easy to rebuild, but we have to be realistic of what was going to happen once Pitino left. 100% true, but still a little devastated. i attended 27 home, road, neutral site Iona games in the past 2 years (24-3). Often left the gyms/arenas thinking what a great entertainment value for 20 bucks. Grew attached to the team. Very sad to see it go up in smoke. Yes this is the hardest part, you grow attached, these are our players, and now they’re not. We now need to get new “our players”. Extra hard because we had such a good team coming back. But as 86 said chance some of these kids who are in the portal don’t actually leave, but less likely than likely. Although the transfers are a reality it also is ruining college basketball! |

I wonder how many of these guys are entering the portal because they’ve just been dumped. They’re in the “delete the girlfriend’s number” stage. My guess is many of them haven’t met Tobin yet. He’s a pretty infectious guy and might be able to bring them back.
Sounds like Walt’s def on his way out. For his sake, I hope he goes to Kansas.
