Listened to Jaden Daly's X space with Coach Anderson and Coach Gallagher from Manhattan. Interesting to hear the philosophies between the 2. Gallagher believes that the deal with the MAAC is the W/L don't matter just how his team continues to improve, working towards a run in March. Altho he did mention that there are some smaller conf teams who have larger full season goals (ie some Iona teams, Monmouth 2016 and Siena from a couple decades back).
I think just about every MAAC coach probably had this philosophy whether they admit it or not, because for most programs/years it's basically reality.
Tobin certainly is not one of them which I find refreshing. He might lean that way a bit more THIS year, but even by his reaction to a question that Guy had about asking if this team needed a loss like Marist, he blatantly wasn't buying it.
You can tell he's frustrated so far with the status of the team but admittedly says he needs to be more patient and that Shema was obviously a big loss too. Even mentioned he told the kids to go home after an early practice today and to come back for an evening practice because it was going so poorly.
So while year 1 might be closer to a Gallagher type philosophy, he's not on board with the W/L don't matter crap. And we should all be ecstatic about that.

Loves the way he wants to schedule too. You don’t get people in the seats with cupcakes coming to New Rochelle.
