I'm sure the staff could sign 5-7 players in a heartbeat if they wanted to. No point burning all scholarships and settling when better options may still or become available. I'll trust their process and think it's a good sign of them being selective. Pretty much agree. At least 5 recruits on Guy's list have already visited Iona. With the staff back on campus more recruits will be visiting this week. One recruiting target on Guy's list taking an official visit Tuesday-Wednesday. Would be a very good "get". Really need to land a couple by the end of the week. Lots of transfers and JUCO players have been committing, 7 spots are a lot to fill LOL same convo happening on MAAC board, fans of teams without full rosters starting to panic. Like we said out here a ways back, the big schools are gonna get their pick first, but there's a LOT of talent that goes into the portal and goes unnoticed at JUCOs and HSs right now, and the big schools are getting closer to being done. We're looking at a lot of interesting players, and as you'd expect we've got some heavy competition for their services--these kids aren't gonna visit and commit right away. But yes, to Sharkey's point, would like to see some movement now. We don't need 7 commits over the next 2 weeks, but I'd like to see a couple! |

Had offers last summer from Clemson, Arizona St, Clemson, Memphis, George Washington and Evansville and interest from Vanderbilt, Towson and Wyoming. |

Sultan Adewale - 6'8" SF/PF - ★ ★ ★ recruit. From England, Playing for Neumann-Goretti Catholic in Philly. Has only been playing hoops for about 5 years. This young man lost his mom this past December. He had a good game off the boards playing against national top 10 team, Camden where he grabbed 10 boards going up against 7' Aaron Bradshaw (Top 5 ★★★★★) who is headed to Kentucky and 6'8" DaSear Haskins who is headed to SJU.
Offers: ASU, Clemson, DePaul, GWU, GT, Memphis, OSu, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Oral Roberts, Washington, WV.
Looks: Illinois, Missouri, Purdue, Utah, Villanova.

Confirmed Washington transfer 6'9 Langston Wilson is on campus for official visit next couple of days.
Would be huge get for staff. Would be lots of fun watching Wilson and Shema playing together. Add Sultan Adewale as well with Dylan Saunders and the Iona Frontcourt is off to a great Start
