Is Bob Cimino still the Mt.Vernon coach? GOOGLE" GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE in 1943 abe rosenblatt rode a horse through pelham and mt vernon and sat down and had a ham sandwich what was the name of the establishment? Can't be true. Because if you had googled it, you would have found out that 1943 was in the 'middle' of WWII. And more likely he would have had a Spam sandwich. Remember, Google will give you facts, but not teach you how to think.

I have heard that Mount Vernon has a very talented PG named Tavien Tyler. He is undersized (5’7) but maybe he has a growth spurt in him. Wondering if 86 or any others know anything about him? Seems like he could be one of the best players in the state next season as a senior. Tavien is lightning in a bottle! One of the quickest guards I’ve seen the last few years. He is incredibly tough off the dribble, and actually has a nice pull up game as well. Good 3 pt shooter with a repeatable motion. Honestly, I’m not sure he is even 5’7. But he is the kind of kid that if a MAAC level team took a shot on him the floor is he could be a spark plug scorer off the bench, and his ceiling is being an Evan Hymes type (sorry for the Siena reference😂). He definitely hit the weight room this past year, but will benefit from another year in the weight room and high school ball. If he added another 10-15 pounds while maintaining his speed, he would be some player. I feel like he is the kid that 10 years ago a MAAC school would take a shot on. With the portal now high school recruiting is really tough. He seems more likely to play high level d2 and transfer up.

Says allot about the readers of this board that you felt the need to point out "thus far" What? You don't have next year's stats yet? This guy is maybe the greatest player of all time. 25.8 PPG in only 1.3 minutes of playing time per game last year. Fantastic! Let's get him!

Christopher "C.J". Shaw - 6'4" CG/SF out of North Las Vegas. At Mojave High School, Christopher "C.J." Shaw made his mark by averaging an impressive 20.1 points per game last season. His momentum hasn't slowed down in the summer league this year; in fact, he's been dominating the competition. Representing Vegas Elite in the EYBL, Shaw showcased his skills in a standout first session, facing off against formidable opponents like Team Melo, Houston Hoops, and Strive for Greatness. Despite the tough matchups, Shaw and his team emerged victorious with a perfect 3-0 record, with Shaw himself maintaining an impressive scoring average of 21.3 points per game. He earned "All-Circuit" Nike EYBL Session I First Team status as well as earning "Breakout MVO" honors. He was one of three star requriuts who made 1st team while the rest of the players were 4 and 5 star recruits who are ranked in the Top 100.

Offers: Xavier, UT-Arlington, Cal Baptist, Santa Clara, UCSD,PortlandState, Southern Utah, UNLV, Utah Tech, SIU.
Interest: Washington State, Loyola Marymount University, Pepperdine
Scouting Reports:
"His team's leading scorer, CJ Shaw caught our attention during the winter because of his ability to play fast and the way he can go on scoring binges from deep or off of the dribble. Shaw oozes confidence, won't back down from anybody, and plays with some edge to his game." - 'Kansas City EYBL: 3-star prospects gain momentum, thrive on national stage'- Eric Bossi - 247SPORTS - 5/29/24
"Fresh off a terrific Section 7 AZ effort in late June with his Mojave/Las Vegas NV team, Shaw showed here why he is rapidly earning value as a top national prospect. High-scoring young lead guard can get buckets at a high rate and is nowhere close to peaking physically yet. - 2023 Pangos Premier 80 Showcase Part I: Trigonis Top 30 -ZREPS- Arizona Preps- 7/31/23

Quick question if anyone knows... has our coaching staff changed? Or will all assistants be back?

Quick question if anyone knows... has our coaching staff changed? Or will all assistants be back? Nothing has changed at this point. They are all listed on the current roster for the upcoming season.
