SLG, actually just returned from a weekend in Easton,PA, attending my granddaughter's graduation. And I can't even remember the last time I stayed in a hotel/motel. First time I used a 'Tap It' key to get into my room. Rip Van Winkle seems like an apt description. Lehigh? Or Lafayette? |

I did learn something at the graduation ceremony. The commencement address was given by a former student athlete at Lafayette, Beth Mowins. Beth is an announcer for ESPN. In her address, which I found very entertaining, she quoted Al Michaels, William Shakespeare, and Mark Twain. And the one I remember is Mark Twain's. It seems that every season the team (IONA) suffers through a tough stretch and Guy feels that he has to call posters in off the Ledge. Well, to paraphrase Mark Twain, "I like to live on the 'edge, because that's where all the good fruit is".  |
