Almonor to Kentucky. Tough loss for our hayseed friends up north. HOW DID TOBIN LOSE THIS GUY TO A SHIT PROGRAM LIKE KENTUCKY? We have a few people on this board who will view this as a very ominous indication.

Of course some of us remember when we didn't lose players to Kentucky. Right, Jeff.

What I appreciate most about this team is that the recruits seem both skilled and tough. Last season, we lacked toughness and leadership, but it seems Tobin instructed the staff to prioritize mental and physical resilience in new recruits. I believe he succeeded in finding the right kind of players to win.

6'4" G. Ryan van Eyck, Dylan's brother, visited Fairfield this past weekend. In the FIBA U18B Division, he averaged 13.7p, 3.9r, 3.6a, 3.3s, 5.1 FTA and shot 58% from 2. I was hoping he would go JUCo so Iona could grab him next season. He is athletic, smart, tough and skilled. I would hate to see him at Fairfield.

Ryan van Eyck, Dylan's brother, has committed to Incarnate Word. Thank God he did not end up playing for another MAAC team.
