He's an environmentalist. Wanted to stay green. I'm bummed we didn't get him, but if we did I would have wanted us to recruit another guard named Smith. . . . who can shoot.

How long before we can start worrying about Njie and Moundi? So what you're saying is you don't trust me when I tell you not to worry about it, just finalizing paperwork, and when I said a little ways back that you may not see Njie announced until his school year ends?

Guy, glad to be reminded. But remember:
1. Young people have patience. 2. Old people are patients.

William Sydnor - 6'9" SF/PF the Patrick School (NJ) and the New Jersey Celtics AAU and New Heights Lightning AAU. He is an athletic player that gets to the hoop and can spread the floor with his soft outside touch. a three level scorer that has the length and athleticism to guard multiple spots. From NYC but had played previously at Our Savior Lutheran (Bronx) and First Love Christian in Pittsburgh. Played AAU with Iona commits Justin Menard and Jacob Hogarth. Played on a Patrick with Ikenna Alozie (6'1" PG-★★★★★ Top 10 recruit- Offers UCLA, Oregon, ASU, Providence) Iafola Fawaz (6'11" C - ★★★★, offers from USC, Seton Hall, Providence) and , Jaiden Glover (6'6" SG ★★★★ -committed to SJU - Offers Nova, Maryland, LSU) so I do not understand how this kid was not rated by any of the services.
Ratings: Rivals: NR 247: NR ESPN: NR ON3: NR
Offers: URI, UAlbany, Manhattan, New Orleans & UCSB Interest: Seton Hall, St. Bonaventure, SJU, Providence , Quinny, Valpo, Fairfield, Drexel, Holy Cross, Maine.
Scouting Report: "6'8 Will Sydnor is an athletic 2024 forward of The Patrick School NJ. Sydnor is a multi-level scorer, excellent from the three point line, mid range, and around the basket. Sydnor's length enables him to be a on ball defender, and rebounder." - Real Scout Basketball
"The 6-8 wing showed his remarkable talent against Crown Basketball (N.Y.), even in a losing effort. He doesn’t lack confidence and his height allows him to shoot from the spots where he feels more comfortable without being too worried about being contested due to his high release. For his upcoming senior year, the wing will play with NJ powerhouse The Patrick School and will have an immediate impact on both ends. In the game facing the Crown he scored 22 points, added two blocks and a lot of boards. Especially in the first half, he preferred to take mid-range shots by slightly fading away. Around the rim he has a nice touch, but his 3-point shot looks solid as well. Defensively, he gets steals and dominates the boards." - Hoop Group AC Jam Fest: Day Two Standouts (July 6, 2023) - Josh Verlin - City of Basketball Love

Something to think about. You think our NIL is enough for him?

I'm not concerned about Iona needing another good player. The roster as is has deep talent. Is the junior college player hinted here significant?
