If the $2M is close to being true, wouldn't that make other players (possibly) on the team feel that they are playing for peanuts? And cause disruption. Or does winning cure everything. I used the Google, where did you see this? No one I know has seen this rumor

His NIL MIGHT be half that, based on a twitter search. Cannot verify.

I'm pretty sure I saw it on the Internet, but for the life of me I can't find it. sharkey's $750K makes more sense, but I'll keep looking.

If players are getting $2 mil, what are we paying head coaches these days?

Just came across where I came up with the $2M number. It was a May 8 story on Bleacher Report by Paul Kasabian. Headline: CBB Coaches, Insiders Reveal NIL Costs for Transfers; Up to $2M for High-End Players.
(And under the headline there is a picture of Kadary Richmond driving to the Basket)
And he is the first player mentioned but it doesn't say that HE got $2M. But, it indicates that some have. Interesting story.

This probably fits here, as it has something to do with RP. The SJU AD is retiring and the rumor is that he will be replaced by the Fordham AD. His claim to fame is that he seems to have been able to 'stomach' RP for a whole season.

Thought it said retiring, but it said stepping down. And, I'm sure Guy is correct, and that was the reason for my initial post.
1970, not sure I understand your post and just want to say that when speaking about claim to fame, I was talking about the AD who is leaving.

Guy, thanks. Did not know that Taaj was an AC, even though I'm a Celtics fan. Did know that the son of an Iona legend, Gary Springer, was on the team, even though he didn't play much.
