I lied. No scrimmage until next weekend.

Maroon Madness is about hype, getting students involved. Having it midweek just isn't the same. Being older, I would prefer to see a scrimmage. Unfortunately, a scrimmage will not draw the students. Last night was also aimed towards recruiting. Thought I read there will be an open practice/scrimmage for season ticket holders? Sucks for me, but there will be an opportunity to see the team before the season x.com/BKCollegiate_BB/status/1713226925718577474?s=20

x.com/BKCollegiate_BB/status/1713226925718577474?s=20This is one of the programs Sharkey and I have been pushing for Iona to grow closer ties with. Glad to see Coach see's it the same way we do. Class 2024Tyler Edore 6'8" SF- IS tough scoring in the paint and has a good mid-range jumper. Performed well at the various team camps recently. Tough defender due to wingspan and timing... alters shots. Offered by Albany, interest from Sacred Heart, Wagner, Manhattan, Binghamton, Quinnipiac, Iona, NJIT Class 2025Toribola Babs-Ogundeji - 6'5" SG/SF- Athletic, skilled wing who can shoot, play above the rim and has great timing on D.... loves to pin and block shots. Quick in the transition. Plays AAU for CM3 Elite. Has a crazy 7' wingspan. Good student as well. Flavio Jean - 6' PG - One of the Top PG's in NYC regardless of class. A Strong and tough prototype NYC style PG that can score in a variety of ways. Uses his body well in playing through contact. Has deep 3 ability and can run the offense with the best of them. Played up at the U17 level for AAU and was dominant.

Wasn't there but from what I hear this was an event for the students. Many of us criticize the lack of interest in the student attendance so if events like this improve the student interest I am all for it. Anyone here is going to follow/attend regardless of scrimmages or no scrimmages.

One thing I did learn Friday night was on the Men's and Women's roster handout. At the bottom of the roster was the schedule for the two teams with starting times listed. Only two TBD (second and third games in FL tourney) for the Men and the final game for the Women (March 9th at Manhattan).

Is St Joes confirmed for 7:00? ICGAELS website now has it listed at 7 pm also. As far as crowd it's best to be the middle game to get more eyes. Typically the fans might not hang around for a game that isn't theirs. As Iona fans we have to SIT TOGETHER. Too many sites like this we are scattered around too much.

Only way to ensure we sit together is for us to only buy from Iona, and if Iona has no package and we're at mercy of Ticketmaster, we spread the word re a specific section. Never gonna happen.

The amount of empty seats available close will be plenty. Don't have to sit in the seat you paid for. Especially with the 3rd game.. it will be empty most likely.
