sigael, totally agree. And, while I'm not sure of the effect on the game, every time Marist had to inbound the BB, Dunne had his team pass it to the ref standing next to the guy inbounding the ball, who would catch it and pass it back. And this strategy would slow down the refs 'five count' by a second or two. Marist must have thought it was effective as they continued to do it.

I have no idea, but at least 1970 sees that the refs influenced the flow of the game.
