Tobin is an excellent coach, but we need players in here otherwise what do we expect? Our players are constantly getting open looks but they simply can’t hit a shot.
We are Iona, at this point there has been a championship culture and standards that have been set over many many years. If we can’t get players in here that are at the skill and basketball IQ level that match this standard, they should not be in our future plans. This is my brutally honest feedback.

He had an almost impossible task in finding 12 new players. He found some decent players and Some good athletes, but no complete players and no players who are bucket makers. Iona won’t be able to win the maac with this group, I came to that realization tonight. I think Tobin has some good freshmen coming in who can score and are more complete players. But for the team to win he will also need to find a couple of upper classmen starters who are more complete players and can make buckets. |

At least they broke 50, which seemed iffy. My expectations were too high considering the nearly total roster overhaul.

refs were horrible, offense was worse. I have seen enough of Tretout. Poor job by Tobin. Out coached.

Gordon’s limited play time really concerns me… I think Tobin just wasn’t happy with how he was playing. Gordon is streaky, sometimes looks great, sometimes terrible . He symbolizes the entire team, not consistent and can’t score consistently in a normal fashion. |

I do think if Tobin can get Cluess level recruits in here he will be excellent for us.

It's not even remotely close. Comparison screams of delusion. Winning MAAC titles isnt same as dominating top 6 conf and making deep ncaa runs. And even if I give you this, you can find 2 mediocre years out of 15 at Kentucky. |
