Last year, i was at the Quinny game and the refs were asking the police officer assigned to the game to admonish/remove iona fans.(the iona fan was an older guy, doing nothing wrong.) An older GUY. Are you speaking in code?

Speaking of JPR, he is a devoted Gael fan and I’ve had the pleasure of sitting alongside of him the last few years. He makes all the home games and many away, including holiday and post season tournament play. At last nights game he reiterated his love for New Rochelle and Iona University. Born and raised in NEWRO, he’s been hanging around campus since the mid 50’s. He became an alum in class of ‘68. Let’s all wish him and his wife Marilisa well as they make their move from Connecticut to their new home in Naples, FL. I’ve sat next to John for the last several years, and have enjoyed sharing the ups and downs of Iona basketball with him ( fortunately mostly ups). We drove to the Duke NCAA game in Pittsburgh and drove back the same day. Quite an experience and a great way to get to know someone! He has become a good friend and is one of Iona biggest supporters! I’ll miss him at the games! Good luck to you and Marilisa on your move and hope to see you back at Hines for an occasional weekend of Iona basketball.

We as fans must endure “Billy The Announcer” for 2 hours. Otherwise, the mute button could be an excellent option. 🤪🤪

Quinny scout via Kenpom. Theyre a nice defensive team in general; they don't get steals or force turns but are generally decent otherwise. On O, they are tough on the glass and excellent on the line, but aren't great shooting 2s OR 3s. Keep em off the glass and don't foul em.

Also: as 86's post shows, Savion Lewis is having a big assist year. He makes them go--so he's the one to disrupt.

Forecheck the shit out them and don't let them get on a power play.
