Big improvement over our first game with Niagara. As I posted this morning, in that game we shot in the low forties from the foul line.

End of game situations have been a train wreck.
Assuming when Tretout is back, in crunch time we probably want Quigley (if he hasn’t fouled out), Jean, Tretout, OZ and I guess Gordon on the court. Sultan could be an option as I recall he has made a number of foul shots.
Not sure if Saunders or Brice have had enough of a sample size from the line but if they can make 7 out of 10, one of them needs to be out there in crunch time in place of Gordon.

This leading blowing pattern stops when the free throw shooting improves... and that may never happen. Seems like it’s in their heads now. Sure is in ours!

On a positive note Gordan is unbelievable! On a negative note mountain west and a10 vultures were spotted circling overhead!
Old college basketball we would be in good shape next year with a nice foundation returning, new college basketball nothing certain until at least June. I hate new college basketball!!
Have to believe Iona is either as good as anyone in the maac or perhaps better. Unfortunately I don’t think this team is built for a one and done tournament set up.

We saw the value of Mr. Quigley tonight.

With 2.4 left it’s a coin toss. If you foul then you need to snag the missed second free throw and that’s no guarantee with this team. I mean its certainly a matter of preference. But if you play the percentages it's the right thing to do to foul typically. Tobin is the coach tho and obviously knows what he's doing and it worked out tonight. Our luck we foul and Driscoll calls it in the act of shooting and Niagara drains a 3 with a tacked on foul shot for a walk off W. Now I’m starting to sound like Joebird. LOL

I noticed one aspect about this team this season… so goes JQ .. so go the Gaels. The good news is Gordon is improving every game. Come March he will carry them to the NCAA tournament. I'll have what you're having. JQ seems to have come down with a case of poorfreethrow-itis. No longer Mr. Automatic. Thank goodness his frosh teammate (JA)hasn't caught it.

I’m more worried about not blowing giant leads.

Think you're mixed up about Adewale. For the season I believe he's 14-22.

If you just look at the final score this is a very nice road win. It’s just so hard to get by the blown lead when it keeps happening. I’ll try, very nice win, there is not one game left on the schedule we won’t be favored to win. Like to see us go at least 7-2 the rest of the way, pretty sure that will get us second. Then let’s see what happens in AC.
