Scoring 30 a night might’ve had something to do with it. Could be as simple as him believing he is worth more than what his current package was. IF that's the case, well then he got unbelievably bad advice. Bailing on your teammates with 6 games left outweighs scoring 50ppg Honestly don't think NIL has anything to do with this Agree. I think leaving a school/ team with 3 weeks left in season would hurt future $$. |

Things getting crazy on Twitter. First the burner and now Gordon "liking" this tweet. He's not helping himself. BTW, he was already making calls asking about the transfer portal Wow, have to say I'm not sure how Tobin quit on Greg. The guy played a ton. He's obviously a talented player. And losing his scoring and rebounding is tough. Hard to know how this will go given we aren't privy to the inside stuff with the team. Could be that the guys pack it in. Could be that chemistry improves and the team plays more consistently. Who knows? |

Has word leaked out that GG has left because of NIL? Why do you think NIL had anything to do with it? As I responded to Jim, since the news broke (Gordon gone) all I was reading about in this thread was NIL, so I thought people were blaming NIL. Now, a supposed post by GG blames TA. Bottom line, four pages into this subject and I have no idea why he left. One thing that makes sense to me is that Iona Athletics has to shed some light on this. |

The burner account is not Gordon. At this point the reason he left is between Tobin and Gordon.
Tough couple weekends coming up
at Rider
At MSM
QPAC
At Marist
Let's hope the guys get some better play from a couple players. Final weekend is Manhattan and Siena.
If Iona can go 2-2 these next four, then in good shape to avoid the PIG. Some of the teams ahead in the standings play each other last 3 weekends, so some will add losses.

Kids come and go. May never know why. NIL is another factor that did not exist previously. Sometimes there is nothing you can do. Unlikely the school keeps
players who develop early. Look for grad players and Jucos. JMHO
