Lots of athletes, good size, and seemed like a strong defensive group. Offensively can use more scorers, but hard to judge in such a short viewing.
Patterson- was at warm ups and looked athletic but had to leave for class before scrimmaging. Think his ability to score will start him at the 4, though this is just my guess.
Hogarth- great size, raw offensively
Njie- very quick, but very raw. Highly doubt he will start and will have to fight for major minutes. A bit small, but still young, needs to bulk up.
Reaves- remind me a little of Gist. Didn’t really shoot so hard to see what probably is his biggest strength. A little undersized though. Expect him to start.
Rupert- very big and tough. will start and seems like team leader. Swished a 3 on the only outside shot he took.
jungers- quick and athletic. Looked like has nice shot. A bit small for a 4 though.
Winborne- had excellent bounce but may have had class as well as he didn’t scrimmage.
Emuobor- quick hands and athletic and strong. Seemed to be around the ball for rebounds and loose balls. Think he will do well in Tobins system. Didn’t seem like a shooter though.
Michigan- very impressive athleticism for a walk on. Could see minutes
Wallace- seems like the best natural scorer out there. Has little rotation on his shot but it goes in. A bit thin. His scoring will get him minutes.
menard- did some nice things, good passer. Looks more ready than Njie.
Bundy- this is the sleeper, very athletic and does a little of everything. can jump.
moundi- typical juco, has talent, a bit raw, looked good one play and bad the next, but has nice size and did some good things. Swished a 3 as well. Strong, I think will be first big man off the bench.
Barr- reminded me of Jolly. looked good on defense in brief scrimmaging and then sat out most of the time. but in what I briefly saw I think he starts or is 6th man. Strong and athletic.
Others can all play, I think Menard may be best true point guard on the team and that will get him minutes as well. Njie will play due to his athleticism, but will have to limit his mistakes to stay on the court.
Want to add Njie has practiced by far the least of the group, since he missed all of June, so have to consider this when saying he looked a little rusty.

Nice summary. Winborne played at the end. Nice event. This is team looks to be bigger, faster, and more athletic. They went hard on defense.

I like what I saw.
Nice meeting ic1983. JoeBird sorry I missed you. Very nice event. Ic1983 and Joebird both spot on. JoJo Wallace was exactly what Tobin has been hyping. Pure scorer. Was impressed by Menard. Nice size, some very good passes and knocked down a couple pull up threes. Njie still getting his feet under him, but it's obvious how talented and quick he is. He had Iona's best hyped defensive players on him, and he was quick enough to break the pressure by himself. The vets will have to play well to keep the 3 FR guards off the court. Jungers more athletic than I thought. Same with Bundy. He brings some swag to the court. Not saying he's nearly as good, but reminded me a bit of Pappas from Monmouth. Iona fans will love him, while the rest of the MAAC will hate him...lol
Really nice group of young men, engaging with those who attended after the practice.
This team is much more athletic than last year's. While, I agree with most of what JB said, I disagree about Njie. IMO, he's quicker than quick. Does have to bulk up some, but there is no denying his 'game'. Don't know if he'll start, but he's in the mix.
Justin Menard impressed me with his size and court vision. Also, has a nice shot. Speaking as a fan, he looks to me that he'll be part of the rotation. Definitely, a PG.
Was told that Wallace's father was in attendance and had to be happy with JoJo's performance. An off guard with a scorer's mentality.
Think that Moundi will start and he can play with his back to the basket.
Surprised that Rupert was so offensively talented. Was expecting someone with a big body who can rebound and defend other bigs. He's more than that.
In warm ups Luke Jungers showed off a VG deep touch. Ronnie Moore had him 45-50. Also, very quick around the basket. Not sure, but I believe he's the tallest and lightest guy on the team. Doubt that he'll add weight as this his third or fourth year and he hasn't yet. Expect him to be part of the rotation.
Biggie showed skills in warmups, before he left for class, and my guess is that he can play the three and four, I don't know how TA plans to use him.
The guys really played hard, and fouled often, so I'm glad we have a deep lineup. JB touched on the others, but didn't see enough of or from Barr and Enuobor to label them as starters.
Bottom line, TA and his team put on a great show. They'll be worth the price of admission.

I think I was a bit hard on Njie, just don't expect him to start from what I saw. Will be very good, but doesn't look ready yet.
As for Barr he didn't play much, but from what I heard and briefly saw at the beginning of practice I would be very surprised if he doesn't start. Looks like a beast on defense and is strong.
I like that Emuobor seemed to find the ball, an athletic junkyard dog, but I agree 5th starter spot is up for grabs, a free for all and a number of players are in contention. The top contender may be Wallace simply because he looks like our most natural scorer and I think we will need a bucket guy to go with the abundance of defensive athletes. Moundi most likely to get the most minutes of all I'm not labeling a starter.
Just got home 59. The roads were terrible between HAC and Eastchester. Only kidding. Sat with Joebird and we shared thoughts throughout the scrimmage. I agree with most of what he reported. Let me add though. What we saw last night was a scrimmage and a group that’s been together for a relatively short period of time. We will see a completely different team come November. They played very physical and as you inferred, lots of fouls would have been called. Loved the hustle and aggressiveness though. This group seems to be tight and like each other. The team is big, strong, quick and very unselfish. Things that stood out… 1. Everything Wallace put up seemed to go in. He knows how to get open and his teammates got him the ball. 2. Njie is lightning in a bottle. Quickest player on the floor. Needs some muscle and time with the team. NYC tough. 3. Ran their offense with lots of touches. Seemed to want the ball inside for the high percentage shots. 4. To point 3., would have liked to see more 3 point shooting. The game has evolved to where the good teams all drain the 3’s. It is a difference maker. Hoping the reviews on this team are accurate and that we are strong in this phase of the game. 5. Think I only saw 2-3 foul shots taken. Again, the good teams make them. I always think of the games we could have won if our foul shots were going in. 6. TA loves this group and knows them very well. He has done a good job of selecting players with all the attributes we keep reading about. Winners, toughness, unselfish, good character and want to be at Iona. 7. Saw considerable TA/Rupert interaction. I’m thinking coach sees him as a leader of the team. 8. Wish we had seen more of Patterson. Other than that, it was only a scrimmage and I’m glad I was able to attend
