Ha! I'm taller than Daly! You and 90 percent of the world! I’m 5’7, so I literally look up to everyone. Size can be measured in many ways Jaden. Given the entertainment you bring us, you are a giant in what you do. Thank you for your wonderful coverage of Iona hoops and college basketball in general.

Well I was woken from my slumber from the other thread. New thought on the starters is Wallace or jungers has to start. Team will need scorers and one of these 2 will be needed. My new guess on starters is reaves, Wallace, Barr, biggie, Rupert. Moundi first guy off the bench. 1-3 with next most minutes is a free for all. Can make an argument for almost all of them. Lots of time to see what develops.

Guy always says that we shouldn't read too much into seeing the team practice for a couple of hours and reaching conclusions as to who will start or be part of the rotation. And, of course he's absolutely correct. But, for me the fun is in the guessing. One, in a slow time of year, it gives us something to write about. And, if we're wrong we can just move on. And, if we are correct, we can remind everyone. Multiple times.

No doubt! Even with seeing the team it's impossible to make any real conclusions, so all we can do is guess.
Quick example: I was pleasantly surprised to see Reaves with several nifty assists. Does it mean he'll average say 4 per game? No, but we can hope!

I'm looking forward to see him play in a half court offense. Something to keep an eye on. Or to satisfy greg, to keep both eyes on.

Forgot to mention this. A couple of days ago there were two short videos of the team practicing on Instagram. Maybe someone can transfer them to this Board.

I know that it is a slow time, so I'm suggesting the following. In a word or a phrase, give your impression of a player that has caught your attention. I'll go with:
* Njie-Quick * Menard-Court vision. * Jungers-Long range shooter, yet quick around the rim. * Moundi-Down low scorer. * Patterson-Confident * Rupert-Alpha Dog * Wallace-Smooth
Looking forward to seeing more players.

Guy, thanks. I didn't see enough of them to reach a conclusion. I feel confident about Hogarth that by his soph year, he'll be able to replace Rupert. And when you say that Reaves will make the O go, do you see him as a PG?

And when you say that Reaves will make the O go, do you see him as a PG? Will presume you meant Hogarth will replace Rupert in 25-26. I would agree. I think Reaves will draw the opponent's best defending guard, so I would not be shocked if his averages "evolve" from last year at Northern Colorado, where he averaged 15 ppg and 1 apg, to more like 12 ppg and 3 apg for us.

Just checked the official Iona site and looked at the roster. And, while jersey numbers still aren't listed, there have been a couple of changes. 1. Luke Jungers is no longer listed as the tallest Gael at 6'9, as he's been joined by Jacob Hogarth. 2. And Luke is no longer listed as one of the lighest Gaels at 175. His weight is now 220. I don't know if the 175 was a misprint or whether he has gained weight. Going back to Oz Sheema, who was never able to add weight. And while this is just my opinion, I think Luke needs the added weight.

Still think it's a bit of an optical illusion to characterize Jungers as someone who "needs to add weight". Rupert, Moundi and Hogarth are all beefy guys; of course he's going to look skinny next to them. It's the same reason why I always hung around fat guys at the bar, it made me look skinnier to the women.
