Iona, Ark St and Rice have all formally announced they're in.
Indiana St is rumored, but released their sked with a general placeholder that they're gonna be in an MTE.
Hofstra and Incarnate Word are rumored but have not announced their OOCs yet and have not confirmed their involvement otherwise.
That's where we are, up to the minute.

I hope they come up with a way to determine a "champion" on day 3. One way is to just go with the 2 teams with best records and point differential after 2 days, and then "seed" teams to have a 1st, 3rd and 5th place game on day 3.
Spoke with I70 yesterday, he had an idea common in AAU ball where you have 2 brackets of 3 teams and they play each other and the "winners" meet in the championship the 3rd day, but I'm not sure how that would work since we can't make a team play twice in one day and the event is already locked into 3 days.
Of note: Iona has already requested that they do not play Hofstra in the event unless matchup is result of seeding, as the teams are already slated to meet on Nov 8.

So hard to judge these teams in this brave new world of NCAA hoops.
Tarletion was a top tier WAC team last year but appears to have lost most of its top players to graduation and transfers…. which can be said of so many teams.
The top tier conferences will remain top tier while the low and mids will be an annual crap shoot.

We'll get a decent scout report on Hofstra.
