An indication of the size of the crowd might be how many students were on the bus, last night. On Instagram, earlier in the week, the school announced that they were running a bus with a $5 charge.

There was a very solid Iona fan presence at Hofstra last night.

Pretty confident that we will do much better in our home opener, IF TA follows this suggestion. We will know when the starters walk out on the court. Remember, in the PS there was a lot of suggestion whether we will go big or small. And TA chose big, but so far it hasn't worked. By transitioning to a smaller lineup, I'm hoping for the following lineup changes.

* Sit Yaphet and bring him in off the bench.
* Move Biggie from SF to PF, where, imo, he seems better suited.
* Replace Yaphet in the starting lineup with Jo Jo, as I think a three guard lineup will help both the offense and defense. Biggie will handle the ball less and thus cut down on TO's.
* Since TA sees the guys in practice, he might want to go with Bundy. I wouldn't go with Comeh, because he seems more like an under sized Four.

Does anyone agree?

I responded then deleted. Yes I don’t like those 3 starting together. Patterson has talent but turnover prone and seems better suited at 4. Need to get Comeh and Jungers minutes as well as both bring different talents to the table. Need more offense and maybe Wallace can help. It will take a while to figure this out.

JB, not sure, but I believe you would prefer a'small' lineup. As far as improving our offense, a three guard lineup should at least improve the ball handling.

I think it will vary from game to game and opponent to opponent. Biggie and Moundi weren't getting it done last night, so we went smaller--and it got us back into the game.

Also remember that we are still missing 2 guys that will play a lot. Aligned with the points above--when Barr is healthy, I'd play him at the 3 and Biggie at the 4 and have Moundi spell Rupert/Biggie along with Jungers (and Hogarth). Emuobor has been playing some 4 as well.

I was wondering where Izaiah Pasha had ended up. Feels like every non-conference game is played against someone that has some sort of connection to Iona lol. I guess that will become more common in the NIL/Transfer Portal era.
