I have only seen two of our games so far – Princeton and Delaware. I’m confused. Judging from last night’s presser, I am not alone. Why is Rupert playing on the perimeter on both offense and on D. On offense, he does not have the handle to take his man, and his lack of handle allows the D to collapse on his move to the hole. His foot speed makes for wide open looks while he is on D. Take a look at last night’s final, and nail in the coffin, tre by Delaware. While Adam had an impressive debut at Princeton, defenses have adjusted to making hm give up the ball. No surprise there! But who does he give it to? Rupert on the perimeter is not an ideal option; neither is Biggie. And the defense has already rotated to make Adam give up the ball, so the interior is not available to either of them. Moundi was terrific last night- but, the free throws. Moundi and Rupert on the floor at the same time creates a traffic jam with neither looking for outlet passes to spot up shooters and not enough of the latter is on the floor. For example, Jungers may be a better option to have on the floor than one of the above two. His defense is no worse than Rupert while the latter is on the perimeter. I don’t recall seeing Rupert on the perimeter at St. Peters, and I doubt he was there at SIU. OK 70, tell me I am an idiot, and for the most part you are right when it comes to basketball. This is a tough call. After last night's game I was told that I could spend $500 for a session with a Psychiatrist or post on this Board for nothing. Let's see Doctor or Board, Board or Doctor. Too close to call and no monitor to check. Well my wife convinced me to call a doctor, and I just finished spending $500 for a zoom session. And, it rally made me feel good right up till the end, when the doctor asked if I would be attending Friday's game? Definitely, I said, and this time we're going to win. The doctor replied, "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome, is the textbook definition of lunacy". He added, I'll schedule an appointment with you for next week. |

Not sure if anyone heard Tobin mutter at the end of the post game presser as he was walking out. Go give it a listen and let me know your thoughts. Maybe I’m overthinking but seemed out of character for him and a little worrisome. Hope he can right this ship - the talent is clearly there.

Yeah, I thought of editing that out, but to your point I thought it captured the fact that he's super frustrated right now. I wouldn't call it worrisome. I still feel like we may have a "Colgate moment" tomorrow, where everything just clicks and we look superb. Maybe because it was SO bad Tuesday. |

What worried me was his talk about lineups. Really hope we don’t see a carousel of new lineups night after night. Do like Moundi coming off bench after 1st media. Should keep him out of early foul trouble
