The team is getting a lot of positive ink lately! With the season we have had, and the roll we are on, do you guys look at this weekend as ‘cutting down the nets or bust’? We are looking at three challenging games but we have the right pieces in place to get this done. I know winning 3 games in three days is difficult but if we don’t get picked off in the quarters we are winning this thing, no doubt in my mind. This team doesn't have to cut down the nets Mon. night for me to consider this a success, but who cares what I think. What's important is what the team considers a success. I think they're hungry. All I want to see from them is to play fearless AND SMART basketball this weekend and let the chips fall where they may.

Maximum effort, every possession, every defensive set, every game... one at a time.
That's what it'll take to win this thing.

A loss to Fairfield in the finals wouldn't be devastating. A loss in the semis would be disappointing. A loss in the quarters would be disastrous and a failure in every sense of the word.

Iona gets a "good" result as Siena is taken to OT vs Manhattan before winning.

The all out effort by both teams in the overtime game and the short turn around to todays game can only help us.....There has to be a emotional let down and some tired legs in there somewhere...Lets come into the game with a attitude.....
Go Gaels!!!!!

Also completely agree. Also agree last nights OT battle was best case scenario for us. May not see it early, in fact may see Siena play very well early with extra adrenaline from the win. However in the second half we may be able to take advantage of their likely fatigue.

Regardless of who we were to play tonight, this game worries me and will be very difficult. Nobody on this Iona team knows what it is like to win a MAAC Tourney game. Hopefully, we can just treat this as one more game; however, I see that fact as a demon that will be difficult to exorcise! Maybe our incoming President could offer some psychological advice. GO GAELS!

My anxiety levels just went up a notch or tow when I looked at the box score and saw Clarence Jackson hit six 3s last night.

Although Siena managed to sneak out the victory in OT, their 2nd half offense was dismal signifying a tiring effect.....They played 5 players for 200 minutes of the 225 game time...The bench contributed only a total of 25 minutes....Jackson...Anoskie...and Rossiter all played over 40 minutes....If we build up one of our early leads, it IMO might be to much for a Siena run.....
In listening to the game, I often wondered what in the world is Siena going to do next year without Jackson and the missing rebounds from Rossiter....Not good......
Looks like we are about a -8 1/2.
Go Gaels!!!!!!

Uh... Peacocks. 2 points in 11 minutes? Really? Horrible to watch. FF was disgusting in the 1st half and St. Peters disgusting in the 2nd.
